This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Limited Time Secret Offer!

Yesterday I received an email saying that my Virgin Mobile contract of £16 a month which included 5000 minutes, unlimited texts and 20GB of data, was going to go up to £23 a month, as the contract I am on is no longer available.
3186522.jpgI called Virgin customer service on "789" and selected the option "thinking of leaving Virgin Mobile". Here I was on the phone to a member of the team for around 5 Minutes. I told her that I wasn't happy that my SIM Only contract was going to increase so much. She then told me that I was eligible for a "Secret Limited Time Offer" which includes 2500 minutes, unlimited texts and 100GB of data for £15. Of course I said yes as I was making a saving and getting 5x the data I was previously paying for. I know that my minutes have halved from 5000 to 2500 but I rarely call anyone anyway so that is more than enough3186522.jpgAfter I accepted the offer over the phone I started to receive text messages to confirm. The reason why the text message says "10x Data for £0.00" is because technically the contract I am on is only 10GB but I have a lifetime add-on of 10x data so I will actually receive 100GB. Nice. Later I received this email.
3186522.jpgFor an idea how good of a deal this is, here are the other plans currently on Virgin Mobiles website.
3186522.jpg
I am presuming this is for existing Virgin Mobile Customers only. This is a SIM ONLY deal. This will be a 12 month contract so a total price of £180. I am not sure when this offer will expire.

ALSO DATA ROLL OVER STILL APPLIES!
I am not going to use any data the first month meaning when my allowances refresh next month I will have 200GB OF DATA and will every month after as I wont be using anywhere near 100GB of data. I struggled using 40GB XD.
Also note, when using services such as Messenger, Twitter and Whatsapp, you don't use any of your data on your plan as this is part of their Data-Free messaging offer. More information can be found here virginmedia.com/hel…ing

UPDATE:
I have seen a few comments about how the price is going to up in April or that customers will lose their "lifetime" offer. I haven't received an E-Mail regarding any price changes. I logged in my account to be sure. No price rise/change and I haven't lost my "lifetime" x10 data offer. All seems good.

UPDATE 2:
I have had two bills since this post and they have both been £15. No price rises and no loss of the x10 data offer.

I`ll just say good luck.

As the data is 10gb x 10 for lifetime, they can take it away anytime they want from now on.

The person i just spoke to said that they have notes on the account which tell THEM that at the next RPI increase in July, all promotional offers will be taken away from accounts....that means you`ll be on £15 for 10gb a month and TIED into a 12 month contract

Slipper snake oil salespeople.

One of my contracts is due to change from 4 x data on a 1gb package for £4 to £6 for 1gb data...........and I`m supposed to be OK with that ( despite it say its a lifetime offer )
Cold. Fake 4G network. Data does not work most times due to low priority on EE network. Also some people say 4G signal missing bands. If your phone stops working, you know why.
Virgin lie and cheat, happy for them to sue me , but I doubt they will try once they look at my file.

Used to be a good company until they were sold off.

I had 5000 min, unlimited text, and 40gb of data for £10 a month. The contract should have been £20 a month but I got £10 discount lifetime offer making it £10 a month. I received an email saying it’s going to £23 a month. I couldn’t get my head around how they can call something a lifetime discount when they are removing it after a year. I called virgin and they said they’re getting their new promotional deals in March so they’ll call me in March to see if they can offer me something.

Am I reading this right.... they can remove the offer part way through the contract? So if they’ve offered the op 10 x 10gb for 12 months, they can remove it before the 12 months is up?? Yet still charge him the price that has been agreed??

In the mean time you`ll be moved to the new tariff where you will get 40gb for £23 as of teh 1st of April

Even their own advisors are confused.

The RPI increase is being tied with promotional discounts being withdrawn also. So the 20gb for £10 was double discount data for £10 reduction (40gb for £10 )

Its what they are doing now

They are removing LIFETIME DISCOUNT & LIFETIME QUADRUPLE/DOUBLE DATA part way through contracts.

I think it is something to do with Virgin Mobile branching off from EE. The lady on the phone was explaining what was going on and the reasons for the plan changes and why my plan was no longer available but I was driving at the time (using Bluetooth of course) but I couldn't hear her very well. Only thing I think she said was that Virgin currently using EE's network and they leaving EE for their own. Correct me if I am wrong.
If they are doing it now, there will do it again if they get away with it

The FREE multiplying of items DESPITE saying lifetime can be taken away it would seem. And becasue handsets etc are a seperate contract you still have to pay for themn. If you want to walk away penalty free the terms say you MUST paf off your handset FIRST!

Lifetime for Virgin is less than 24 months it would seem
I have been with Virgin Mobile now for around 4 years. The 40GB of data was a lifetime offer and I have never had it removed or changed, until now because of the plan not being available after April, but that is because of the plan not being available, not because of them removing my offer, discount etc.

Had the same email, called Virgin and guy convinced me to stay for now and they’d call me in March and sort me a better deal. I agreed but am now thinking I should cancel and go else where.

Not sure what you are getting at?

If you went to Tesco and purchased all items on special offer and it cost £50, you would rightly be annoyed if they debited £70 because before you got home they decided they couldn`t sell the items at the agreed prce
The rest of the conversation is a peach ( and when they say its the law you know they have no clue )

I did ask how much notice they need to cancel, and they said 30 days.. I’m on a 30 day rollover contract, so I guess I’ll see it through to the end of Feb, and rather than waiting till 1st March I’ll call back again on the last day or two of Feb and see what I can get.. if not I’ll cancel.

I’m on the lifetime discount and lifetime double data...so with the new price I’ll be getting half the data and more than double the price!
We all have until the 31st March to tell them where to go.

I`m hoping they see sense but they may just ride out the bad publicity.

I`msitting tight and not signing up to anything new.

I would guess every time I ve called they want me to confirm I`m accepting the news terms so Ive made it clear that I haven`t

I think if we accept they won`t put us back where we were.....lifetime for me is until I die! or 2099 like it says on my cintract. If you have taken a new package yours wont say 2099 anymore

One of my contracts they want to change from £4 for 4gb of data to £6 for 1gb of data and don`t understand why I told to get stuffed!

I explained that if you can purchase apples for £1 each today, would you accept one at £6 tomorow. ( add in that they told you when they were £1 a go you could have that for life - DONT SAY IT IF YOU DON`T MEAN IT )

Just got a pac code. Best they offered was £18pm for 45gb.
I might ask for PAC codes but wanted to give them the chance to sort this mess out first
Been offered £15pm for 20gb with BT mobile via live chat (includes £70 reward card) possible cash back too (TCB)

The roll-over is only for the data that is part of the contract, not the bonus multiplier.
Any remaining of the 10BG will roll over, not the multiplied total, 100GB

wth!
I'm on £18 per month for the same package although I managed to get £75 TCB tracked (hopefully pay out) but this is outrageous if they can do this. They can promise you the world and tie you into a contract and then screw you over in April. Will be changing providers as soon as my contract is up if this is the case come April!
If anyone wants a tip: look up NLP

Its no surprise that most companies now want to converse by messaging.

If you speak to an advisor its easier to work out what they are trying not to tell you

we have one of the 40GB and three of the 5GB but only been told about the 5GB and the guy said that the 40GB was not affected but looks like it might be but according to another thread on here all are going and emails were sent out yesterday and "virgin aent bothered if you didnt get the email" of course they arent bothered it will go pear shaped if they werent worried about that.
I started a 12 month sim only contract with (promotional) lifetime free triple data (15gb x 3 = 45gb) last October so am I going to lose the x3 and be expected to pay the same for the basic 15gb ??? If so its bye-bye virgin.

Not sure how they can legally do this.
