You beat me to it! I just added it to my basket and was thinking about posting it myself.

I don't hink it mentions it in the details at Scan that this is (I think) a 2.5" drive so it's nice and small.

hehe - yes, just arrived at the right time as I nearly checked out with an internal I put in the basket yesterday which represented much worse value for money. I've already got one of these Maxtor Basics, the 80GB version, and it's been very fast and reliable for the last year or so

Wow, i've just noticed your post count! I never had a chance beating you to it!

Some sites have this down as 3.5" and some as 2.5". Have you any idea of the exact size of the Scan deal? I could do with a 2.5" but another big one.

Yes, and it's def worth getting imo. Scan have got very competitive prices and consistently have my order delivered next day by CityLink. Never had a problem with them and have only good things to say about price, speed and customer service

If you miss it - do what I do and send a request.

Often they've slipped the odd deal i missed onto Super Saver (scan.co.uk/tod…ly/)

Yes, they've done that for me too. They also listen to requests for items on today only. They've responded to me the two times I requested this and versions of both items were added within a few days. Great crew who value their customers.

Damn need one today!!!!! Had a big computer scare just now :@
