Found 28th Apr 2016
Plan ID: SP5-IC868-1
250 minutes, 5000 texts, 1GB data, £5/month

Not bad for a 1-month contract with a useful amount of data and no need to claim cashback. Note that after 12 months the data allowance will drop to 500MB though.

iD Mobile uses the Three network.

I have the 2Gb (1Gb data doubled) version of this sim, and it has been good so far, number porting the same day i requested it too.

If you don't need accurate data allowance numbers or good customer support or buy addons or go over the monthly allowances.... then it's a good deal.
Very bad for paying cashback!

Must admit i have been waiting 3mths now and still not received any cashback from topcashback
Apart from that i can't fault them at the moment been really good custom service as been fine were i live must be all the big city's where the problems are.
If I am not mistaken, you get the data roll over too?
Is the data speed as good as EE keep banging on about? Can one use tethering as I am not overly
impressed using GiffGaff for mobile data.
Forget the tethering bit just seen they do not allow it.
I think data rollover only applies to their "GoTo" plans (so not this deal): https://www.idmobile.co.uk/datarollover

It looks like the cheapest GoTo plan (500mins/5000SMS/1GB) costs £7/month: idmobile.co.uk/sho…nly

got one last time but it's not guaranteed £5 a month. was running out of data so I bought a £5 addon and they charged me another fiver for going over. so my first month was £15 . and that's on the £5 shockproof plan.
Been trying all week to take this out, can't get past the payment page. No error message, just blanks a few characters of the card details. Tried various computers, browsers, same everywhere. Called them today and was told the site is undergoing maintenance all week, and to try next week. What a joke!
BTW, don't bother going instore to CPW as this is a web only tariff.
BTW2, Topcashback is not offered on the sim-only tariffs.

Customer service I'll give to you as it's pretty dire. However, I'd rather save the money each month over the space of a year and put up with a few extra minutes on the phone to their advisors than pay someone else more money for lower allowances just to have the customer experience of my dreams.

However data wise their app I've found to give up to date figures for data use on my contract over the last 12 months.

TCB cashback £5.25 on 1-month SIM-only when I checked just now.

Apologies, got confused with the following:
"There is no cashback on any other categories (including SIM Only, Handset Only, Tablets and MiFi) unless stated otherwise."
...but as you say, it does state otherwise so should apply.
How does the data speed compare with 3?
Have used them for 3-4 months after moving from EE and no major problems. The speed is slower than EE's 4g network but I wouldn't say there is a huge difference. Haven't had to deal with customer service yet but I've had a poor experience with every network I've tried over the years
So far not had a good experience.

I joined earler this week from Vodafone. Ordered simcard on late Friday and delivered on Tuesday. Registered on line so that I could port my number. Find out today that the port has been cancelled. Had to ring them and they haven't a clue so passed it on to technical dept to resolve. Told it could take 3-5 days Meanwhile no one can contact me.
No problems with it here.
Bought last month, applied and went over same day.
App gives accurate data.
All good for a fiver a month.

They use 3's network, so should be exactly the same.

However, some MVNO's are barred from porting numbers already on their host network.

any good deals in 12 month sim only ?

Had the same problem couple days ago. It was fixed in the afternoon today for me (so took around 1 day to fix). Didn't realised it was fixed until I got a call. I was super worried I'd lost my number though!

You've just described giffgaff
Have 2 of these sim cards - for £5 they are a steal! AND - capped - no fear of going over. The iD app is the best out there - simple and clear. No annoying emails !! buy a good unlocked phone and slap this in it.

Every ShockProof plan comes with a small ‘cap’ on your calls, texts and data, so you’ll never be able to go over your limit by more than a fiver!

That suggests you can go over, but only by £5.
Good deal nevertheless
I hate id.
I would avoid ID like the plague - wish I read reviews before switching a few day ago. My number and sim was not ported yet I still had £3.22 of extra call charges on my £5 buffer (ID sim was not even in the phone). I have been requesting the content filter to be removed for the last three days (still on) and getting nothing but excuses and attitude from CS. I have requested my pac code and was warned if I leave a 30day rolling sim contract I would get a £6.70 early termination fee on top of my monthly bill. Really laughable service, which I had just went with LIFE or stuck with Tesco, sometimes its better paying a little extra as you dont get what you pay for with ID.

Think you will find when the network is busy Three customers take priority and iD customers get kicked to the kerb, I watched a review on YouTube and most other reviews confirm this, il be sticking with Three.
Got to be worst network ever signal is crap speed of 4g is as fast as a 1 legged dog running and you cant even do simple things like turn voicemail off they say its not possible on there network lol i stayed 60 days and cancelled. Id advise anybody thinking of joining to read there Facebook page first(something i didn't do) its got 1000s of bad reviews.

So I'm not the only one with this problem, suggest their porting process not upto scratch. However, my porting problem was fixed this morning so my confidence in ID Mobile has gone up a notch.
i find the facebook comments funny..'looked all over the sim and cant find my number!'

we ported around 3 months ago from EE it went over same day £5 a month rolling. Everything we have changed so far is online, simple tick boxes. I have called CS a couple of times only to clarify things i should have red tbh! No problems there.

Re paying extra per month..yes if you go over and buy £5 bundle you will pay £15..
Worst network ever. Trust me, I canceled within the cooling off period because they were so bad. 6 months later they started chasing me for money. I called up and they confirmed this was sent in error. The next 4 weeks of my life was spent calling their customer support asking why I was being sent letters saying I was going to be referred to debt collectors. Save yourself the hassle.

My data allowance is fine. within 5mb of the one built into my android phone
I've had speed of 69mb down and 30 up with this sim when I was over near Birmingham lately

No problems using iD here. 40 mb/s download speed using speedtest.net app (in London, admittedly). Reliable, quality data allowance tracking app. Number porting was fast and easy. No nonsense, no frills and cheap.

Perfect.
Now in two minds whether or not to take this deal. Closest 1GB 4G data plan I can find is Vodafone at £5.50 (using cashback at mobiles.co.uk). But that's the dreaded Vodafone...any advice on which is better?
iD/3s coverage & data speed good in Urban areas.
Their 4G network is fast but coverage gaps.
3G network solid and usable.

topcashback got declined (put in a manual appeal / claim)
No access to 3s 800 Mhz network yet or wifi calling app.
Their system has issues with double data - app tells you running out @ 50% and data seems to pause at 50%.

Garbage outfit. No end of problems when I tried to join. signal was rubbish, the 4g is rubbish. Took me months to get hem to stop billing me, despite cancelling within the 14 day cooling off period. One silver lining though, out of the blue I had a cheque from them for £9.98, not a clue why, they never actually had any money from me!

Steer clear!!
I've got a £5.00 per month Virgin Mobile tariff. Unlimited calls, unlimited texts and 1gb of data.
