hard drives are cheap and easy to replace along with ram, cpu isn't and it's pretty pants
Had one of these, the microphone did not work.
The Celeron 1000M has a Passmark benchmark rating of 1822 just below some of the current generation i3 23xx mobile chips and probably equivalent to the bottom rung of the first generation i3 mobiles, so should do all you want in a cheap laptop.
Saw one of these in Asda Home today and the build quality is good with a metal bezel. Good screen too!
don't forget 2% Quidco too.

nice find op, looks like it will be a good laptop for basic home use, very tempted.

hot from me.
ooops didn't see you'd already said about cash back.

Had one of these, the microphone did not work.

trying not being a dick when asking if your sure as if the microphone was
enabled, you'd get feedback.
If you right click the little speaker icon nect to the clock
then click "recording devices" the box that comes up
says microphone with a volume meter.
tap near the microphone and you should see the meter jump.
Sorry if i'm telling you how to suck eggs !!
I'm following this post, so feel free to berrate me !!
The Celeron 1000M is not far behind the Core i3 - cpuboss.com/cpu…00M

You won't get a Core i3 laptop for less than £300.
