I am seriously starting to believe in the school of thought that Argos are massively reducing all their out of stock items to generate web traffic!

no stock in the south of England

just got the last two in my local argos......hot hot

Thanks, Just picked one up in Oldbury. HOT

2.5cm is a waste of time, you would need 2-3 of these to feel any real benefit.

I think you may be right - there are far too many 'amazing deals' coming out of Argos that don't seem to have any stock anywhere

What's the point of having this on a bed?

I bought this 2 weeks ago at £27.99 for kingsize. Its OK but not sleep alteringly good -def not worth almost £100

It is good for people with certain ailments. Back/hip injury etc. I know 2 people, 1 with a back injury who's 8 inch memory foam mattress allows good sleep, and no longer stiff on awaking.
2nd person had a recent hip operation, £30 2.5cm topper from Netto is great, and is somewhat comparable to their previous duck down mattress worth hundreds of £.

niggardly

Yes - my mum has back problems and we bought her a memory foam topper (though thicker than this one) and it has helped her a great deal.

We bought a Silent Night one for around £60 - I was dubious at first but it really did work wonders. However ours is a 5cm thick one so i would question the effectiveness of one any thinner. Not sure how well it would work putting one on top of another though - Kingsize (x2) for £46 that would not be bad.

NO STOCK

Very skecthy stock and too thin to be any use - cold

I've had back problems for years and have tried various things and found that:

1 inch/2.5cm memory foam mattress topper made no significant difference.

3 inch/7.5cm down and feather mattress topper was great and helped a lot.

7cm memory foam topper was as effective as the down and feather topper.

We now have a 20cm Tempur Combi HD mattress, 2cm HD memory foam bonded to 7cm standard memory foam bonded to 11cm of polyurethene foam and it's brilliant! Main drawback is that it was expensive even at sale prices, but I've never slept so good and my back is much improved.

I'm always stiff on awaking, would this help? :P

Obviously the marketing department at Argos have been on the same course as those at Hellfrauds

These were reduced to £8.99 at our local Sainsburys early last week.

zero as its far too thin.

I managed to reserve one of these at my local Ramsgate store, but as I have back problems I think I may leave it and invest in a thicker one I will gladly give you my res number if anyone wants it PM me

Bought a kingsize 2.5 cm thick memory foam egg box topper last week. Argos said it was originally £99.99 and was on offer at £39.99.
Its absolute rubbish and a waste of time. I cant take it back because Ive tried it out. My Rhumatoid arthritis has not benefitted at all. Imagine if I had spent £99.99 on it. What a rip off!
