DFDS have 2 special cruises leaving from Newcastle to Amsterdam to raise funds for charity. The cruises depart on 22nd November and 23rd November and you choose to donate either £25pp, £35pp or £50pp with all proceeds going to the Children North East Charity. This deal does not include meals but is a great opportunity to visit Amsterdam (albeit for only a few hours) and to support a worthwhile charity at the same time.

Hope someone can make use of this, just wish i could go.

Did this cruise earlier this year for a mates birthday, was a laugh. Spent enough time in Amsterdam

Yes great ferry company, good entertainment and you get about 6 hours in Amsterdam

ten times better than P&O!!!!

Monday sail from Newcastle On-board King of Scandinavia arrive in Ijmuiden on Tuesday morning Free transfer by coach to Amsterdam then you get picked up around 4 o clock for another free transfer back to the ship (35 minutes) Tuesday night return to UK docking back in Newcastle Weds morning around 9:30 am

Tuesday departs the same itinarary as above but on the other ship the one we went on (princess of Norway), great band great entertainment and excellent food and service, we had one of the best steak meals ever in the restaurant it's quieter in the week also so you won't get the weekend party animals.

Go for it you won't be disappointed.

You still have to buy meals on board.

Yup you get enough time in Amsterdam to visit the odd "coffee shop" or two where you can indulge in what is stupidly illegal over here. A very nice way to spend the day

Cracking Deal. I go over there once a year with the missus but it's normally much more expensive than this. I think you get long enough in Amsterdam for a good look round and a few beers.

Meals on board are expensive but it's almost always very good food. I had a brilliant steak last time I came back. If you're that bothered about spending money on food on board you can always take some sandwiches with you then grab something in Amsterdam to eat on the way back.

And you may find its illegal in Amsterdam too, they just tolerate it over there.

Great price, done this quite a few times over the years but think this is the lowest price Ive seen.

Must be the most pointless post I've ever seen on HDUK

There's loads to do In Amsterdam, it's a great city, the red light district and coffee shops are just a small part of it easily avoidable, now could you comment on the positives this deal could offer someone instead of focusing on a tiny negative:|

Say "Hi" to the girls in the windows for me

I don't think the poster does consider it a 'negative'. Besides, like it or not, this is the reason many people visit Amsterdam. So it isn't pointless. Feel free to post what you think is good to do in Amsterdam, but don't criticize other peoples posts.
