Seems like a good price for a 26" 1080p TV with a 3 year Warranty! I know Technika is a 'cheap' / Tesco own brand, but with 3 year Warranty you can't really go wrong!

seems a good deal but only cuz of the 3 year warranty

bought one of these during the week from tesco direct for this price, never thought of posting it ..never mind.its a good tv,bought it for my sons bedroom, looks great with the ps3 and sky hd,freeview quality is good too,3 year warranty is a bonus but for a 26"tv i would have paid this price without it,heat added

i see it has usb input , anyone know if you can play avi files via usb stick ?

I'd buy a Better Brand 26" 720p LCD, in fact I'd buy a Better Brand 32" as the price difference between the two sizes is little but the difference in the size of viewable area is huge, 26" are tiny.

Good Price........Not so Good TV ......can only go by what my neighbours experience has been with these Technika.......Nothing but problems....now on her 3rd one............get what ye pay for i suppose.....

I wouldn't recommend one of these as I had a 22" DVD combo Technika from Tesco, and after a few months the TV starting flickering all kind of colours whilst playing DVD's.. however it was fine for just freeview usage, but that beat the point of paying more for the DVD combo :/. Seeing as this doesn't have a DVD built it, I think it might be alright, but don't expect the quality to be amazing probably best for the kids or in a spare room, definately not as your main TV.

Not evryone has the luxury of fittng anything more than 26" due to contraints on where they can put the tv.

When I got my 26" LCD i could of easily got the exact same model in 32" for the same price but could'nt due to lack of room.

Post something useful in relation to the tread or dont post at all.

Technika? Top quality brand there - I'm sure it will last you for many hours - oops I mean years....

I have to disagree, there is a big difference between 26 and 32 inches. 32 would be too big for my bedroom whereas a 26 inch tv is perfect. For our living room its a different matter. 26 inches is not tiny!

Looks like not very energy efficient as TESCO website states 220W - this is a lot for that size in my opinion...

do not buy technika. They are rubbish i have had a lot of trouble with mine and i know other people have had the same trouble.

Hehe, you can see the reflection of the camera on its tripod that was used to take this stock photo. :prop:

Never seen that before,lol.

+1

Technika and most other leser known TV brands are mostly rubbish and fail very quickly.
For something that most people watch every day, i would always spend a bit more and get a good brand.

Irrelevant. If 26" is the right size then 32" is too big.

Fair enough, if people only want a meagre 26" then I would go for

That depends on viewing distance, you cant tell people what to buy when you dont know there viewing distance.

mum wants 26in but with silver border and bargain price -- any ideas

You dont understand what people are saying do you?

26" could be perfect for someone in a small bedroom. My 24" looked tiny in the supermarket, but looks massive in my small room. Just because something is bigger, does not make it better.

the picture quality is rubbish it really is !! avoid please

As do many of the so called " brands "...at least this one has a 3 year warranty.

Strange that the branded TV's only give a 1 year warranty.

i bought an overpriced LG thinking the exact same thing, guess what? it failed after 1 week, 1 bloody week so sorry buying certain brands means absolutely nothing, if it works it works, if it doesn't then use the warranty. brand names don't mean what the used to

i think 'for the price' this is a cracking tv and if there around at Christmas time i might just buy 2 for the kids rooms, nice find poster
for the brand snobs out there, find us a better one for less, not a penny more but LESS or dont even compare as you just fill up these comment pages with utter crap

p.s. heat added

go in tescos and buy groceries not tvs these really are rubbish ok for your sons bedroom but rubbish in the living room for everyday use and yes when the 3 year warrenty is up it will go wrong big time believe me!! these are not built to last and wont

^^^^^ more useless posts based on crap, about time the mods deleted crap posts (inc mine) so we just get opinions based on actual facts

in English that means?

you'd think somebody with that amount of posts has been around long enough to know better but it just goes to show what a sh!t site this is becoming, im surprised anybody posts any deals these days for fear of what people might say

I bought a 32" Digihome tv from tesco 3 years ago, these were the previous version of Tesco own brands. It was very cheap at the time and bought as a tv for a bedroom, since moving house It gets used every day as my main tv. No problems, I believe its just luck with electricals these days.

hot, my missus just paid £250 for the same set from play.com with less warranty.

does anyone know if this has a 1:1 pixel mapping setting for use as a computer monitor. if so it would be perfect for me.

you have a crap tv and i have a panasonic freeview hd and i vote tory !! end of debate:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Hot UK deals is being ruined by bigots.

This is a good deal.

If you want to pay more for a "brand" then that is fine but try to understand where the components for all these sets are manufactured and accept brand does not guarantee quality but more specifically does not guarantee value.

anyone know?

I have a Technika TV and it's great. I have a Toshiba TV and it's great. In neither case can that be extrapolated to say that all TVs with those brands on are great. For that you need valid statistics on a large sample of products and/or proper lab testing through such as Which?.

In fact, brands are often just that - a name stuck on a TV from a third party factory. The Technika TV states on the box that it has a Samsung screen.

They both came with 1 year warranty. When that's expired I still have protection under law if failure is unreasonable.

Ever noticed how some people have most things fail after a short while and others have their electricals go on forever? Coincidence?

tommay;8511743

anyone know?

I am assuming its for USB recording ]http//di…spx

Many of these so called " branded " TV's are just re-badged cheapo's anyway, very likely from the same factory as this one.

Hitachi and Toshiba are prime examples of this re-badging, there are others.

The 1000 page teletext has swayed me

Your post essentially said the mods should restrict freedom of speech. Freedom of speech is often restricted under communist rule. The USSR was a communist state. This site is called "hotUKdeals". I replaced "UK" with "USSR".

As for the TV, buy what you like - I couldn't give a toss!
