Honest advice, don’t get this. It looks good but it’s gimmicky and you get a whole lot of poor quality bits that you’ll never use. It’s just cheap stuff with a Bosch logo on the box.

Forget the “I guess it’s ok for casual DIY”, it’s really not. The poor quality bits will make your task that much more difficult and could lead to even more mistakes.

If you need drill bits get the Bosch multi ones to start off and then add to them as you go along.

There was recently a screwfix deal for a Bosch set that was £20 and much better quality than this if you can find it.

I’ve got this and to be honest I have found it pretty poor quality. The discounted price isn’t too offensive, but I certainly wouldn’t pay more!
The missus said she wanted to be drilled. Hopefully this will do the trick.

Totally agree. Got the same set 5 years ago for £12 or so and most of the mason/steel/wood bits have blunted considerably to the point of getting binned. I did find the flat wood bits seemed to be made of sturdier stuff.
I stick to Heller HSS-Co bits instead

I had these for a few years and they worked ok for me on all sorts of DIY around the house
I've got this set. Been fine for me!
Quite a bit for the price, but you usually get what you pay for this sort of thing
The missus said she wanted to be drilled. Hopefully this will do the trick.
Cobalt bits FTW.

I was surprised how good Cobalt was v Titanium. Went through hard section of garage of door like butter. Titannium took around 5 mins.
These are terrible. Bought them a few weeks ago. Screw bits warped after minor use

Agree with most of what you've said, but these cheap sets can actually be good for us DIY'ers.

My wife got me one of the cheap 100pc Makita sets. And yes its crap and will make the job much harder if thats all you've got. But I've paired it with the Bosch Hex Shank kit from Screwfix which you've linked to.

I now use the closest bit from the Bosch set to drill the hole and then widen with the correct size from the Makita set. The cheap bits are upto that job, its drilling a hole from scratch that they really struggle with. Same goes for the driver bits. The Bosch covers most of what I need, but occasionally i'll need one from the Makita, which I use with care.

Obviously for trade, time is money and you're not going to mess around doing it this way. But for DIY, it gets expensive buying bits you may only use once. So I think the above combination makes sense.
I was going to buy but someone in a previous post said the masonry drill bits were rubbish. Any other views / feedback???

Absolutely, I got this set and it’s fantastic, drills through wood, brick and steel like butter
To counter some of the comments above, I’ve got the smaller set of these & it’s lasted great for the last 10 years. I’ve used them extensively as I’ve bought 2 new build properties back to back, for my sins, so had to put up a lot of curtain rails & the like. Brick, wood, plasterboard etc.

Well if I’d said the drill bits are like butter I wouldn’t have said they are fantastic would I? No mate these from Screwfix are the pro set and they last ages, few of my mates have ordered them after borrowing my set, they’re the business

I completely agree 💯%
As others have said, I bought this (but cheaper) and a lot of the bits struggle in brick etc. Some have twisted and warped. I’ve found these bits brilliant: screwfix.com/p/b…138

Interesting, I've been given it and it's done well.

A couple of the thinest bits have snapped, but otherwise impressed.

The masonry bits have been particularly good. Drilled in large holes for fence posts no problem, a couple inches into brick takes seconds.

it's terrible don't bother. Invest in some a decent set and you will save money.
Best Driver Bits Ive gotten were from Lidl a few years back, but I did buy a Bosch Drill a few years back and it came with some drill bits which have stood up pretty well.. cant comment on these though.
Wouldn't bother with this sets, you won't even use most of them and they are poor quality. I got the smaller version of this and one the drill bit snapped in half. I invested in the blue professional set and they are awesome, drill though concrete holes, no problem. Invest in a better set and save yourself money, take it from someone who kept buying cheap bits and only for them to break.
I've had this set for ages and they seem fine to me. How would a poor quality bit manifest itself? Genuine question, I'm wondering what I might be missing out on if I did have better bits.
I've had two sets, honestly they aren't that good.

Used with various drills for various jobs. The masonary bits are very flimsy. Was drilling a concrete fence post on the weekend with one of the masonary bits. Literally bent in two places to almost an S shape. Have had several snap (smaller bits) in past too.

I'm on the look out for a new set.

The screwdriver bits are also poor quality. Shred in seconds if you have a tough screw to get out/put in.
this can usually be found for £22 at Argos and is not that good quality. You'd be better off buying a much smaller well made set. Most of the bits will end up not being used anyway.
I’ve got these. I’ve also got an expensive set of Dewalt ones. I’ll be honest if you’ve got a good drill it doesn’t really make much difference from what I noticed. If I’ve got any big jobs that’s lots of masonry drilling I’ll use the SDS which is unbeatable. I have snapped a few of the smaller metal bits tho I’ll be honest but for a DIY’er around the house great value for money

I’ve got these and they’re shocking quality
I got these for about £14 a few weeks ago to pair with a Parkside cordless impact drill from Lidl, so far i've used a few of the screwdriver bits all of which were fine and drilled into one brick wall with one of the masonery bits which went in easy enough. They may not be top notch and probably numerous items in there i wont use but for £14 they were fine.
I have this for two years now and am very happy with it.
I bought this a few years ago. AVOID. Multiple bits snapped very very easily. Went and used an 20+ year old set my dad had and guess what, no issues! These are pure garbage.
