Yeah that's one downside to the monitor, but other than that seems pretty decent especially for the price

A lot of Pro gamers keep to lower rez screens to keep their fps as high as possible; the 4K gaming screen I have seen are a gimmick as they top out at 60Hz.

Be careful when buying a benQ gaming screen, the BenQ "Zowie" range have identical names to their main stream gaming monitors, but are a lot cheaper - because they are only 60Hz and meant for console gamers.

Only if it's 1440p

what's a good price for a 27" 1440p 144hz monitor?

But a high end one will run you around 400 or more i would imagine

There is a benq one for 290 on amazon, but has 4ms response time

are you sure? 4ms would be an IPS panel surely which go for a lot more than 290 with 144hz refresh rate.

I meant more in general as I'm on the lookout for one so want to know what price to bite at

If you've not got £300 to spend on a decent graphics card this will still be splendid due to the res and effects at ultra in modern games

Looking for a 4k monitor at this price

smae its not ips

I got a 28 inch acer 4K g-sync ex display off ebuyer for £281. Obviously that's gone now but maybe a good place to look for deals.

Thank you, that will do my son nicely. Just bought 1 and only 1 left now.

How do you know if you should be getting an Free sync monitor or the other one (I forget the name)..

I have an MSI GeForce 1070 GPU and looking to upgrade to a higher refresh rate and resolution.

AMD: Freesync / Nvidia: G-Sync
This nonsense has been dragging on for far too long, consumers want a solution.
Nvidia should migrate to Freesync or allow their cards to output both.

Let's call it by its real name, Adaptive Refresh, AMD's implementation of that is Freesync - and Intel will support adaptive refresh very soon too, and it'll be part of the display port 1.3 standard, so hopefully 2017 we'll see all monitors support it, and nvidia will be forced to support it too! (I am truly hoping that will happen as I find myself too cheap to pay £450 for a gsync monitor :P )
