This again? I know a number of photographers who swear by the 24" Dell 4k monitor for Lightroom work. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and was immediately blown away, I now have one too, paired with my 13" Macbook Pro it's a dream.

yep, you can get a 5k 27" from Dell or Philips too. same panel used on the imac. only down side is poor scaling on Windows, but I'd live with that... I think
I tried to post this last week but it got taken down - still not sure why, but it sounded like HUK Deals thought I was a Scan employee or something

anyway, I was posting as it seemed great to me, but I wanted to get views from others. I went for it anyway and it's currently sat on my desk. it's lovely!

The bezel is grey if that sort of thing bothers you. probably more worrying is that the backlight is a bit uneven , but to be honest I've only noticed that in a dark room with a completely blank, black screen. Having noticed it then, I can now see it if I put an entirely black imager on it during the day, but it doesn't affect me in the slightest in normal use as I don't tend to sit looking at an entirely black screen. I thought I'd mention though as I know some people are very concerned about such things - on mine, it's both the left and right bottom corners.

I also can't really comment on things like colour accuracy as I'm using for general desktop use and gaming. on the latter, obviously you'll need a very beefy graphics card to run at full resolution and quality, but I've only got a 660ti and by dialing down the quality, I've been able to actually use the full resolution more than I thought I would. It is already making me think of upgrading the graphics card though...

Oh, my limited experience so far of windows scaling is OK, at least on windows 10 which can scale on a per monitor basis. I think windows 7 and older the scaling is system wide which is not good for multi monitor of one is high DPI like this and the other is a more normal 24" full HD
If you're scaling, then the monitor isn't big enough. At 4k you're defeating the purposes of such huge real estate by enlarging everything.

I had the zero less frame Acer (27 inch 4k), and quite frankly it's a gimmick. It's far too small without scaling and their panels use a seriously grainy coating.

I've found the Dell 25" at 1440p to be perfect. Great colors, more space than 1080, less graphically taxing on my 980ti, and more importantly the pixel density is about perfect with no scaling required. Cheaper too
I had the zero less frame Acer 27 inch 4k in another deal by BT shop too.

I can't fault anything apart from scaling the very small text on Window 10.
I was looking at Dell 25" , 2515H, 2516D but they didn't hit a 200 quid mark or somewhere near.
So I ve gone for Acer. This is a bargain considering 27 inch 4k at 300 quid.
