From what i've seen, this is by far the cheapest monitor you can get with these specs, and it's supposedly very competitive even with the huge gap in price from it's competitors.

27" (inches) Size
IPS Panel
144Hz (Freesync - Also G-Sync compatible) Refresh Rate
1440p (WQHD) Resolution
1ms Response Time

I've been looking to find one of these used in hopes I could find it for under £300 for a few weeks. Couldn't believe it's been dropped to this price.

Hope it helps anyone looking for the same.

Good price.

Prepare yourself for the panel lottery!
Owned this for a brief two days. Colours were amazing but it had a dead pixe. Went to an acer predator xb271hua with ips panel for £600 and currently sending that back. As there is nothing wrong the predator but for literally half the price this monitor has better colours and same refresh rate (144hz) you won’t tell the difference between 144hz on this and 165hz on the predator. Though the innolux ips panel on this monitor is not as fast as the IHVA (acer falsely advertises this As iPs panel) so expect slightly slower response times.

Also recommend running this at 10 bit and 120hz

Apparently they're not even 144hz, they're actually 75hz.

£600? You got ripped mate. Why not get a 144hz ASUS? Was around £400+ in 2016. Surely prices have dropped

Please look up panels. TN panels that are around £400 tend to go for cheaper than IPS panels which usually go for around £550. IPS have better colours.

Attached is the same monitor in OP. Look how vibrant the colours are

IPS also has rubbish blacks. High end TNs are very accurate with their colours now.

Check what product they left the review for because amazon pools them together. The vg270up is a late 2018 product with not that many reviews. I’ve done my research and this is actually the best ips panel at this price

It's defo 144hz, there's another version that people are complaining about, which they now advertise as 75Hz. It's not this one.

Have been scoping this exact model out for a little while, finally dropped below the £300 mark! The sweet spot of 1440p 144hz and IPS
Also there is indeed a 75hz variant, and an HDR variant, which you can select on the same page as this.

This monitor is a 120hz monitor. You can run it at 144hz but it gets blurry from what I experienced. And at 120hz you can also use 10bit colours which give you 98% of the colour gamut if I remember right

Panels sold in the last few months are mostly Innolux, which is quite slow yeah. Apparently needs motion blur reducing, which causes overshoot - just sounds nasty to work with.

Cancel order immediately and pre-order lgs £440 nano ips monitor. Fully g-sync compatible, true IPS and true 1ms response time. Also less chance of dead pixels. I think they’re available for pre-order on overclockers and nowhere else

I actually had this problem with the monitor. It doesn’t happen if you keep “Black boost” at 0. That’s the setting that lights up dark areas in game to give you an edge. But yeah response time could be better on the innolux panel but again, I’m buying it because I don’t play that many competitive games (maybe cs go at silver elite) but if you’re wanting more competitive gaming then don’t be looking at a ips or va panel

Been looking at that but is it worth the wait? Probably August before it’s released.

Do Overclockers the same level of after sales as Amazon?

Is this new LG nano going to be any better than the Predator which has true G-Sync?

The predator is a great panel but it’s literally 6 years old at this point. Yes the LG is worth the wait. G-sync is a big deal, it almost makes 90 FPS feel like 120/144 and FPS drops are seriously hard to notice. That’s what you get with the predator, true g-sync vs the certified g-sync compatibility from nvidia for the LG

Again, it all comes down to you. I would personally never pay anything more than £300 for the predator. If you’re gonna stay with the predator. Boost colours in the OSD for the monitor, there’s a setting called “r gain, b gain, g gain” etc just mess around with those and I’m sure you can get colours to pop more

I’be been going round in circles for months on this monitor purchase.

Are you saying true G-sync (Predator) over certified compatibility is the way to go?

While I agree it's potentially better value for money. I really would not believe those "true 1ms" response times until reviews come out. It's pointless having 1ms response times if it's from an overdrive setting that adds a lot of overshoot.

Not exactly an expert, but it really depends on what you're gonna use it for. If it's just console gaming or media playback, you shouldn't need anything fancy and expensive, and would probably be happy with a larger screen without all of the extra features that I personally care about.

Got mine delivered today. Couldn’t be happier with the colours, no dead pixels this time and IPS bleed is something I don’t really notice (don’t play with the lights off) so haven’t even bothered to check for that

Predator arrived and set up and I can honestly say it's incredible. I've came from a reasonably efficient 24 inch 60Hz Dell Ultrasharp IPS. It was fine but omg this really is unbelievable.

I'm not sure the colours need popping. It looks geniuinely brillant and vbrant.
