You put tea leaves in the top half of the glass bottle which is separated by a tea infuser and add boiling water. Between the two layers of glass is a vacuum keeping the tea warmer for longer and keeps the outside room temperature.

I've something similar for coffee. Presumably this tea version is the girls version....

If you look at the 4th picture on the amazon page the tea appears to sit in a metal filter at the top, the water pours in through the tea, but thats the only exposure the tea gets to the water so it isnt truly 'infusing' imho.

The temperature of the tea will depend on the temperature you put in....but in my experience glass double wall mugs/caraffes etc can keep the water scolding hot for ages...once youve poured it you wont be able to start drinking for at least 30 mins.

If the bottle is on it's side, then the water will still have contact with the tea. I guess if it is too hot you could keep the lid off for a few minutes to let it cool.
