Not quite as cheap as the £9/£19 Travelodge deals that crop up but may be of interest to those who want a slightly higher quality of accommodation.
Also this includes breakfast.

Cold, travelodge do £9/19 rooms

Hot. I stayed in the Birmingham Britannia. The rooms are decorated to a much higher standard than T/L. Also free buffet breakfast.

Hot from me - less likely to be booked up by trolling Audi drivers

Save an extra £29 by sleeping in a derelict old house instead.

Booked in at The Grand Hotel Scarborough

Higher quality, from staying in many different hotels throughout UK, Brit' hotels for me were not that "hot".. sorry

Britannia hotels always get a slating on here ..but we enjoyed out stay in Manchester the other week.

Based on the Adelphi in Liverpool ... id rather stay in a tent be warned

Iv stayed in the Manchester one, which was fine.... but the Liverpool one was the WORST experience of my life (in hotels)

New premier inn just opened plus a travelodge opposite the grand, and plenty of b&b's around that are all better than the grand.

3 Words of advice..........

Don't Do It !

Looks ok to me

I stayed in a Britannia Hotel when I was a student - and it scarred me for life lol

The only heat you'll get is from the fever you catch if you stay and/or eat at Britannia Hotels.........

That is awful, it is like some kind of youth hostel.

Britannia are scummers, Grand Hotel Scarborough is honestly a health hazard. Fallen out with these guys big time, profit grabbing terrible customer service refuse to give refunds/perks without a fight

I'd sooner pay £29 to sleep in my own car to be honest. And I'd happily pay another £29 if they didn't make me eat the breakfast. There is no price at which this "deal" would be worth it. Awful.

What a decline though, I know nothing about Scarborough but I bet that was one special place to stay in, years ago. I have stayed at the Adelphi - the rudest staff I have ever experienced (and I used to stay in 2-3 hotels a week) but in a Fawlty Towers way, it was so bad it was almost good!

Suffered at the Grand Scarborough too, paid to eat out rather than have our inclusive meals. Horribla place.

£3 per hour parking in London = £72.00 per day! ! ! not such a cheap stay..
