I love going to the cinema but I've never known a time when so few good movies were being shown.
The behemoth of Avatar has scared away competition. it's also a terrible movie.

Isnt that the normal price anyway?
yes a lot of provincial towns and cities have smaller cinemas that will charge around £3-£4 anyway, well pointed out. You just need to search for them, its not about the big chains all the time. (edited)

Alternatively my local vue has no one checking tickets on way to screens and you can walk straight in. I buy a ticket, but often wonder why

Is there a surcharge tho like with the groupon and other deals ie based on where you sit could be paying £1.50-£2.50 as well?
  8. Avatar
    Normally they £5
You may be right for your cinema, but they have defo upped the prices to about £7 since summer last year for mine.

Actually its a lot better than the groupon deal with that its 5 for £20 but when you redeem a code and wanted vip its an extra £2.50 i know because checked today luckily groupon just refunded me.

Furthermore these are just £3.99 with no expiry date and i just bought and redeemed one for megan fri vip and only cost £1 extra so £4.99 for vip seat is a bargain thanks op (edited)
What is the surcharge for other seats do you know? Is it just VIP that has extra fee?

Cambridge now has different seating levels. Cheapest is £11

That's crazy. They must be busy or they'd not be able to charge these prices.

wont use fever again myself personally

due to the way their app works I ended up accidently buying something I couldnt use when I was trying to play around with the app & the vouchers I had available on it to see how the vouchers worked - during the checkout process I didnt realise there wasn't another final payment screen where you enter you card details (because the card details had been auto stored from my initial purchase which I hadnt realised at the time)

when I tried to explain this they said all sales are final as per their T&C & would not refund
