Exclusive offer for existing Virgin Media customers (i.e. one or more of TV / broadband / landline) for a new mobile sim, available on the link.

£5 gets you 2GB data, 1500 mins and unlimited texts - and monthly rollover will apply to any unused data.

Also listed on same link:
- 4GB data and 2500 mins for £8 a month

I'd only upgraded to the previous £5 a month deal just a week ago, so called to get switched on to this one instead. I was bounced around a few departments, but pushed and they eventually agreed to put me on to this one. I just made the point that the page made no mention whatsoever about the fact this was a for a new SIM only.

So to be clear:
- you must have a Virgin Media home package already.
- new SIM can be purchased at this price on the website without trouble.
- swap of an existing SIM might be hard work - try calling 08001831150 to get direct to the department that did this for me.

For info you can also get 3gb data, 1500 mins and unlimited texts for £7 a month for 12 months if you're a Virgin broadband or TV customer. I accidentally took this out a couple of days ago!

I went on the normal sim only virgin page and clicked to get the 6gb data offer (which is the 3gb deal but with data boost) and I clicked that I wasn't a virgin media customer already (even though I am). Then when I was putting in my details to order the sim and make an account it realised I was already a customer and automatically switched the sim I was ordering to the £7 sim! I was hoping it would still have the data boost to 6gb but it didn't so I then had to cancel my order. It might help someone else out though!
I've got this deal but not sure I will renew with Virgin media next time around. Can you keep the sim at this price? Anybody done this?
Thanks.
Is Data rollover included in this offer?

Ah no sorry, I meant can you stay with virgin mobile if you come out of contract with the broadband home service. Brilliant mobile service, especially the wifi connect to peoples home network up and down the country.

Apparently not , I asked that very question to be told most of their customers stay for over a year anyway.
Can you apply a CAP on usage ? So you don’t end up getting a large bill if you use more minutes / data than is allowed ?
Hmm 12 month contract not 30 day rolling and 2GB data. ID mobile are doing 30 day 2.25Gb for £5 a month with rollover data

But no roaming ...
Take care with Virgin Mobile.

There is is no data cap. So, if you go over the limit, Virgin won’t inform you. They will simply dip into your bank account up to the value of £50 per month.

I had a 2Gb roll-over contract with VM. I ran out of data... but I assumed VM was capped (like all my previous mobile providers).

My phone downloaded tiny updates to apps each day.... a total of just over 1Gb in the remaining days of the monthly contract. However, VM charge a minimum fee per day for internet access, regardless of how little you download.

My bill for just over 1Gb data usage was just over £39.

Just sayin’.

Take care!
No cap = old hat :-(
Had the same problem as the OP, called Virgin sales, explained the problem and they were quite happy to switch me over with no arguments etc .........

Excerpt from my chat

Ifyou'll get this now, all unused data will be added to next month’s data. You can also enjoy data free messaging on Twitter, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.

And ID is only 250 mins, sadly

Hope this is still available in August when my sim only is up brilliant price for 2gig rolling.
Just managed to get this by phone without being an existing customer. Had to phone twice, first person said it finished last week, second person said yes.
Is this excluding VAT?

Including VAT from what I’ve read
For those worrying about Data Capping, Your handset itself may have the function to cap the data it uses even if networks don't. I don't even know if my EE caps data but I could set a 2gb limit on my handset with an advanced warning when it got to 1.9gb
please send link for data cap process in handset thanks
I think the deal has expired? When I go to checkout, it shows as £5. The moment I get to the summary stage after making my password it shows up as £7

Only for Android, i am looking for iphone
Just got 2 of my existing numbers moved over to this deal, received the texts messages and emails but the email states it won't start until the 27 and that new sims are in the post? Was hoping the current sims would work. A
Just ordered 2x£5 and 2x£8 deals. Heat added!!
I just bought the £6 deal 1.5Gb data, I went to check the exact deal and got this on their web page:
Our technical boffins are doing some important work behind the scenes to improve the way we do things around here. But everything will be back to normal soon. Promise.
I was toying with the idea of going for the £25 unlimited everything, however I reckon she can make do with 1.5Gb - the other data shouldn't count towards her data - it could well end up costing me in the long run though!
Just got this now by ordering by phone (couldn't check out online)
Just switched over from my previous deal and even though the deal hasn't even started on one of the numbers I've just had a text to say that the prices will be increasing inline with RPI in June or July (can't quite remember which month it said) Wish I had never moved now as I had been on a previous £5 deal but with only 1Gb data and I had been on this monthly for a few years now with no increases
