Good price but they have a tendency to put up prices more than inflation mod way through the contract. Heat added.

You should they will change your plan over
I get unl mins n texts and 3gb for £6 with Plusnet.
Shows you how good the sky 8gb unlimited calls and texts for £5 was.
Wouldn`t touch Virgin Mobile these days...they hate customers and its just to get people to sign up and increase the prices.

Terms and conditions mean they can INCREASE contracts for any reason they choose and theres nothing you can do.

Handsets are sold independant of the tariff which still has to be paid off after they raise the price as its seperate

Hello, I ain't got broadband with them....got it through uswitch mate.
The new purple sims have been causing a lot of problems for my parents, both on Virgin and when they call anyone outside Virgin or their call circle (what ever it’s called) they can’t hear the other person who has to call them back, been complaining for 3 months and only just now said apparently it’s a mast issue and told me to changed my network from 4G to 3G, but 3G speeds are poof in my area, but quite clearly it’s not just a mast issue but a sim issue since it happens outside my area, other relatives have been reporting similar problems with one saying that calls take multiple time to be placed otherwise it doesn’t go through.

Roaming has also been a problem, 3G/slow service when it should normally be 4G. Not to mention virgin users are kicked off from bands when masts is busy. Also speeds are capped at 70mbps down and 25Mbps up. Virgin Mobile has gone downhilll.

edit: not to mention they increased the price on my mum’s plan which was at first 1GB for £4, first time I got told it was going to increase, phone customer service that and told me it wouldn’t increase that drastically because she’s “worked here for years and it wouldn’t be that high but only a few pence”, so I didn’t cancel it but it was still increased to £6, didn’t quit because there wasn’t any other good plans and last month they increased the price plan to £7 but negotiated it down to £6 for 2GB. Should’ve left them at first price increase.

The only good thing about Virgin mobile is the hotspots which in some places fail to connect but overall take a long time to connect and for me that’s useless since I have virgin broadband

My 30 day sim started at £4 a month with VM & then 8 months later they put it up to £6, not a massive amount, but still a 50% precise increase though!

Signed up March last year £4 for 1gb and 500mins. Price went up to £6 in July. When I asked for my pac last month they offered 3 months free! They must think we are idiots.

All Depends on where you live and travel so do your homework before you go for a deal
You could get the best deal but it is no good if you don't have network coverage
^^^^^

Perfect response.
Virgin are the crumbs of EE's network. EE first, then BT, then the orphans.

I get around 60mb in my village but pockets of it has no reception

I hadn't heard you could no longer leave it they choose if they decide to up prices mid contract?... I still believe you can leave penalty frew

You can leave, but if you signed up to a contract with a handest as a seperate contract ( which inflates the price of poor handsets ) but inducments were offered like DATA MULTIPLIERS, etc and then Virgin decide you got something which is too in YOUR favour they just take it all away and tell you that you can leave.

You STILL have to pay for the handset though
Virgin mobile has the worst customer service in Britain!

Their call centres are in Philippines and the staff are extremely rude and unhelpful and where possible if they can’t resolve an issue they will simply disconnect the call and wash their hands of any responsibility on some occasions they are called back with only one ring shows they calling back but in reality they just covering for themselves

It's only a problem if you go off their script, or ask a question 😁

I was with Virgin for 2 years left them last month due to 100% price hike was getting simo 40gb with 20gb data roller obviously this was a very good deal and they wanted some of us out. They did offer me an alternative plan but it was not anything similar to what I was getting

I decided not give any of my money to Virgin because of they way I was treated and I went for EE getting simo 40gb for £18. I only realized today I don't need this much data so called EE and changed my plan to simo 20gb for £14 which is starting from tomorrow

Like anthony69 said customer service is very poor you are okay if you are asking them how much is your bill or when is the next billing date but when it comes to technicalities they are useless
One time I kept on ringing them until I got through to UK Virgin customer service to resolve an issue and it took me around 20 attempts and you need to ring around 9 in the morning

The £6 a month deal still hasn’t changed for me
Same here. Started out with 2 contracts at £4 which went up to £6 (50% increase!!). Called and got them down to £5 where they've been for around a year. I expect to have to do the same again the next time they go up. Same for the Virgin Broadband which has gone from £25 to £28 to £31 in around 2 years. It's a crazy way to treat customers.

Deal maybe good its a shame that their customer service isn't that great
personally I think customer service is pretty poor everywhere, I have had indifferent service from EE, Three, vodafone, Virgin Media and Sky. The thing that puts me off Virgin Mobile is according to the web they don't support native WiFi calling on iPhones, unlike Three, Vodafone, EE, O2, Sky, id mobile, without it, if I go to my sisters where mobile signal is abysmal, nothing - zilch, native WiFi calling is great. I've tried various operator WiFi apps before, they are rubbish in comparison.

Well if it rises more than inflation this time I’ll try and hold the price. It’s still much cheaper than the current prices of stuff for 6gb 4g data.

Yes I like the network and the rollover data and CS has always been pretty decent for me. If I saw a cheaper deal on EE or EE network I'd go for it.
Sky mobile doing £6 a month for 2 GB data unlimited calls and texts via U switch. Not bad but not sure if you have to be a sky TV customer to get deal.No mention of that at checkout. They use o2 network i believe.
