again being voted cold without someone saying why and where to get cheaper, Genius!!!

heat and rep

I bought some Kingston 2GB SODIMM just like this from Amazon last week for £14.50. It's now £17! This would have been a poor deal just a few weeks ago (you could get 2GB for £11 at the start of the year) but prices are rising so rapidly this is a decent deal now.

That is PC6400 not PC5300. If you need PC5300 like I do, this is a good price.

EDIT - I take that back, I didn't realise that the PC6400 memory quoted was compatible with laptops requiring PC5300.

Yep, but, the fact is the cold votes were justified as there was a better spec available cheaper. A bit sad but true

Been going through old deals to see if they are still valid, and this one is. As prices for So-Dimm DDR2 have increased, so this is probably old stock bought when the pound was strong.

As I want to max out the 2GB my laptop supports, this deal of two modules is more suitable as it enables dual channel mode. Also if one module becomes faulty you have the other to carry on with, as going by the picture it looks like two individual 1GB kits instead of a single kit of 2x1GB that PNY might request returned completely.
