great price for a great card. Bought it about a year ago and really like this card, runs anything on max settings at 2560x1440. Pretty much silent card.

Tempted to get another one to put it on crossfire or even 3 more for a 4 way crossfire. But the card is so good that on its own can handle anything so no need for the time being.

This really is a great deal for anyone looking for a graphics card around this price point. I bought the Asus single fan 1GB model for my dads pc for £135 a few months ago.

£151.76 on amazon without the games.

Is it better to get this or the card in this thread which comes with loads more free games?

hotukdeals.com/dea…347

The reputation of the Sapphire for being quiet kind of swings me towards this one, but then the extra games look good with the other! And I'm still wondering whether a 7950 would be better, though maybe it's not worth over £100 more than a 7850.

I'm looking at both too..

OCUK changed the HIS 7850from £155 to £161 the other day..

I don't know what to get either as I will just sell the games but I don't know if I can be bothered to go through that much hassle.

To be honest, these 2 deals are both excellent and work out very similar. If you're lucky you're getting around £40 worth of extra games at eBay prices on the OCUK deal, but this Sappire card is around £35 cheaper. Both good brands but i think Sapphire have established themselves as one of the best. It all comes down to whether you want the games or can be bothered to sell them.

I wouldn't think about it for too long though. Ebuyer don't tend to leave these graphics card deals on very long. I'd bet this will go back up in price by tomorrow.

Just noticed on the OCUK site it says "ETA: Overdue" for the bundle of games..

Need to order a card today, was thinking about the 1GB MSI version for £120

But now I don't know

i'll echo what asandino said, fantastic little card . can get around 60-90fps @ 1440p on many games with high settings too

thought i would have to upgrade to a 7970 at that res but so far so good.

paid around £210 for mine about a year ago from ebuyer with no games, so this is a real bargain

2GB for £16 more is a no brainer. It makes a real difference with current games.

So OCUK his7850 or Ebuyer sapphire 7850?

With the Steam summer sale coming soon, i'd save my money and buy the Sapphire.

I was so close to buying the 1GB version and spending £8 on next day delivery, but I think I will just go for this card

It's always a case of "another £10 and i could get something significantly better..."

I know what you mean but this is in the 1GB price range.

I read that the 2GB version doesn't outperform the 1GB version (currently) at 1920x1080, anything higher than that and you will certainly need the additional memory though

I bought the graphics card hours ago and it's still stuck in "Processing Order".

Just googling ebuyer shows poor reviews, damn it

I use them all the time. Never had any problems. There's always going to be bad reviews when a company is as big as ebuyer. I guess it says "Processing Order" because thats the stage it's at. They don't charge you until they ship the item.

Is this Sapphire 7870 worth the £38 more?

£163 on Amazon - amazon.co.uk/Sap…870

Properly is worth the extra money depending on your gaming preferences.

I'm not seeing any mention of far cry on the site. Can anyone confirm that it is actually part of the offer?
Really tempted by this. I've been holding out for a ~£130 gtx 660, but the 7850 can supposedly be overclocked to the same performance level.

This card is already factory overclocked.

AMD added FarCry 3 Blood Dragon later so they send you the code directly when you register the other games.

Yes it is. But this card can easily hit 1150mhz+ on the core and 1375mhz on the memory (it can go a lot higher on the memory, but above 5500mhz you hit diminishing returns).

Actually ebuyer charging £8 for delivery to NI + the €3.50 nightline charge for smuggling it across the border, makes buying from them not worth it.

Very tempted ...

No free games but still a much better option for me anyway.

What's the best to go for a 7790 or 7850.

I want a very quiet card as I have a sapphire 5770 would this be quieter or the 7790

Any input would be great.

Thanks

The 7790 is cheaper but slightly slower. It usually only comes with 1GB GDDR5 and less free games. Both cards will be pretty quiet if you pick up a quality brand with a good cooler.

If thats a serious question, then yes. The sims 3 is pretty old. This will play current generation games smoothly.

If it's only for Sims 3 (or similar games), save yourself a whole lot & get a HD 6670 or similar, which will most probably not even need a power supply (PSU) upgrade. Here are a few examples:

XFX Radeon 6670 HD 2Gb for just under £45 delivered

Sapphire Radeon HD 6670 2Gb for £53.50 with free del - much better fan on this, but will take up 2 slots on your motherboard

You could go for something lower than a HD 6670, but it's not worth it for the price difference.

Let us know some specs about your PC - like PSU wattage, motherboard, & case type, etc. Need to determine if it will run the card, be compatible, fit in your case, etc.

I put this through Flubit yesterday and they gave me 6% off, if anyone is interested.

I have this card. It's brilliant.

As mentioned in the Gigabyte Radeon 7770 thread the other day...

Good luck getting BioShock Infinite, they ran out of codes to present to customers a while back.

Thats bs it can just about run games at max at 1080p and get around 60fps you would struggle to get around 40fps running at higher resolutions

Good deal! I got it 5 months ago for £140 from pixmania, it's very quiet and i'm pleased with the performance. didn't get the codes emailed to me when i was supposed to, but that was down to pixmania. once i emailed them they sent me the codes fairly quick. Then to my surprise i got an email from AMD with another set of codes! Being pre-release was easily able to sell the 4 codes on ebay for £15-£20 each, on top of the £50 i got for the old 5770, it made a cheap upgrade!
Edited by: "guitarman1" 6th Jul 2013

Great little card, had one before, silent and major bang for buck here just make sure you got a half decent cpu to go along with it, would i pay the extra for the 7870 probably not (unless it was £20 or less difference) having used both :-)

I pre ordered the PS4 can't buy this to can I?
