Tempted for going on holiday, at this price its loseable and breakable, has anyone got one of these?

Nice pair of sweaty apples!

anyone got this, i want it but dunno

Looks good for going back and forth to work really very cheap probably clarity of sound is quite bad.

I'm tempted but my M600 does this and looks very similar. The 128x128 screen puts me off. You couldn't view a postage stamp on it and the clarity of the sound probably is an issue, according to the user review on Amazon.
Good for the kids though. You can't go wrong for 20 quid.

I would guess that the build quality will be pretty basic, but at that price for the actual 2gb storage size it's a cheap buy,

Steve

I like the picture of the Apple....You know what that would make a good logo fo an MP3 player!

On looking closer at the spec. I note that the screen is the CSTN type, rather than TFT as used in more expensive models.

Mind you, for under 20 quid you can't expect a lot, I suppose.

Tetris Woo!

i cant see no on ebay, are these bad boys new or something brah

English manual available here

Actually looks like a nice interface.

Bargain

looks like a great mp3 player for the price. the customer review on amazon seemed pretty happy with it, but i think ill stick with my iPod. good for a kid though

I bought the 4gb version of this last week for the same price from Ebay and the price is unbelieveable, It also works very well, for the price of even the 2gb version you cant go wrong.

cgi.ebay.co.uk/1-8…tem

I just noticed that it doesnt have a FM radio which mine has

Does anyone know if this can handle music organised in folders?

That does seem like a bargainous price. Although it says it has a 2.5mm jack, which isn't the most convenient sized headphone socket around. However a 2Gb player with a screen (as useful as it may be) is still a deal. The 4Gb versions look much better though if they can be found at a similar price.

I'm looking for a new player to use as line-in for my car stereo, perhaps this one.

Stay away from these!!!

I got 2 simular to these from ebay a year or so ago. One for my sister and another for a friend. The headphone on one died only a few months in. As it uses a 2.5mm jack rather than the standard 3.5mm jack I was forced to ebay an adaptor and to use with different earphones.

On the other one the 2.5mm jack on the mp3 completely went bust. Just wouldn't work well at all no matter what I did. Sound came and went. Shame as the mp3 player itself seemed to still function. Now use it as a 1GB bulky memory stick.

These are cheep but not worth it in the long run in my opinion.

It comes supplied with a 3.5mm adapter so you can use regular earphones. See reply #3

I can say that the ebay player i mentioned earlier DOES have a 3.5mm jack ,as i use sony 3.5mm earphones with it.

There seems to be two variants of these 4GB players on ebay.
AV04 which has 1.5" screen & 2.5mm earphone plug.
AVN4 1.8" screen & 3.5mm plug.

Suggest the latter would be the better option.

Be careful, most of the ebay ones are hacked to look like 4GB when they are infact smaller (512Mb or 2GB usually). Check this list before buying

If you want to see if you've been had, use this tool/info to see the real size of the memory on the MP3/4 player.

Usual Fleabay scammers.

jpieter: Any chance of you checking yours to see if it is hacked or not using the tool above. You ebay source is not on the list and I'd like to know if he's ligit or not

Least with Amazon, you should be safe. Voted hot

Hmmm... You wouldn't be ebaying it would you?!?:whistling: :giggle:

Thanks for the hack info "sin_of_ nature" ....guess I'll be leaving the mp3 players well alone on ebay

Mine turned up yesterday and it's great. For £20 delivered, you can't go wrong - sound quality is fine. Headphones are the 2.5mm but it comes with an adaptor to plug in your bad boy 3.5mm headphones if you need.

Not the easiest thing to navigate round, but it only takes 10 minutes or so to figure it all out. I like the fact you can just drag and drop your MP3s or WMAs straight to the device using My Computer (like a USB storage device).

The only other drawback is that it seems to be USB 1.1 as opposed to USB 2, so it's a bit slow when copying large quantities of files, but let's face it, at this price, are you really that bothered?

Recommended - but deffo for more tech savvy users than those who can just about use an iPod

There's also a video convertor so you can watch your little vids on it as well. Compression isn't too bad - it got a 24MB file down to 1.4MB (although that's the whole drive practically used up), but if you've got smaller file size vids etc, you could easily convert them across for this.

Hiya...

I know this is an old thread, but does anyone out there know where I could pick up one of these or something similar for a decent price? I got one of them from Amazon when it was £20 but don't reckon it's worth the £45 asking price it's set at now... £20 yes... £45 no!

Cheers folks!

Just carried out a Google search and ended up at a site called www.shoxx.com who sell this, and quite a few other similar MP3 players at what look like quite reasonable prices.

They appear to be a Luxembourg based outfit, and all their prices are in Euros, but they claim to ship within 24 hours, for about £5 or so to the UK.

Have never used them myself (has anyone?) but thought the site might be of interest!
