did you get any cream?

Not store specific...saw these in the Wolverhampton store yesterday.

Check them carefully, some of them in Asda Llandudno were starting to look a bit mouldy at the bottom so I didn't buy them. Still a good price though if the majority are ok I guess.

Had these at York about 3 weeks ago, the day after buying them i ended up sorting out the box and binning about half of them.....would not buy again !!!!!

I was in Sainburys a few days ago and wanted strawberries, they had loads and loads on the shelf. I checked box after box and none were in a satisfactory condition, especially when considering the sell by date was several days away still. It might be the weather that sent them all horrible looking prematurely.

£4 for 2kg!!! How do they do it AND make a profitoO

Probably more bland supermarket fruit. Better to buy from a market or a proper greengrocer's (if there are any left!).

you will have sting ring tomorrow morning

In the market here in Spain today, I bought a nice 2 Kilo box for 3 euros about £2.50 only a couple were soft. Cheapest they have been so far this year ;-)

Really! 3 euros. which market was that? Online too?

Check the quality, these go bad very quickly as the stores usually don't have any fridge space to put them as they turn up on a half-pallet and have to sit in the warm. Feel the bottom of the box to see if it's leaking.

Actually they are delicious! Fortunately party yesterday and today so all will be gone - are still in good nick this morn as have checked whole box!

Also in Asda Cardiff Bay, I thought they were bland and refuse to buy anymore until the british ones come in - Voted hot though for price and quantity

Why is it only British Strawberries are any good? I completely agree with your comments but is it the conditions in Britain or the seeds?

If the seeds, why don't they use the seeds in spain?

There are loads of poor English ones about, just because they are English does not make them good, it depends on the variety more than anything not where they are produced
