Thought I would post this as I've just seen 1kg on here for £5. This deal was previously 3kg for £10. Its changed now though but it's still a good deal if you ask me.

If you take a look at the ingredients on frozen chicken breasts, they're usually full of water and salt, so this wouldn't be as good as the other 1kg deal IMO.

Very reason i pick up the 2.2Kg bags from Costco around £11 iirc. 100% Chicken Breast with NO water or anything added.

I thought the 3 for £10 deal was finished when I got a new leaflet showing the 2 for £8, but when I asked in store about their 'price rise' I was told that both deals are still available, so 3 for £10 is still a great deal. Never tried roasting because of the higher water content, but for curries, chicken supreme and many other recipes where you are boiling the chicken, this is a cracking buy, especially in today's financial climate. Wouldn't it be great if we could all afford to go and buy fresh, free-range or corn-fed chicken at 2-3 times the price.

You can tell by the quality of the chicken. That price at Bookers seems pretty good although in the past I've found they do sell some utter crap food. Might take a look thanks.

Well that price is the cheapo basics stuff. Good for curry, pies etc. I noticed they do the no added water variety at 2kg for £9.99 so thats probably the same stuff as Costco
