This may be a longshot as it's "Temporarily out of stock" but you can still place an order and eventually get it.

It's not as good value if you don't have prime, so if you do need peanut butter badly. There is crunchy at Asda for £5 per kg. hotukdeals.com/dea…915

Wow super over priced
This is a huge tub and works out at 37p per 100g. Tesco have the crunchy version £4 for 750g, so 53p per 100g. tesco.com/gro…800
why is peanut butter so expensive? so annoying. they can crank out salted peanuts to the cows come home for as little as 50p but somehow peanut butter is like gold.

How so? Meridian peanut butter doesn't have any added vegetable oil in

Not so, the price is comparable with the supermarket own brand label on a pence per 100g basis (excluding Value products).
That's a great price if they do deliver. I've placed an order, thx op.
This is a brilliant deal!!! Thanks OP!

Not comparing like for like....Cheaper own labels etc are not 99-100% peanuts
Excellent! I only eat the crunchy version though otherwise would stock up

Peanuts, blender, touch of salt = peanut butter, really easy to make yourself

The perfect addition to my ignored-list.
Thanks.
I just ordered the manilife version, bit more expensive.

Not tried this one, but realised you can go wrong with peanut butter after buying myprotein version... although supposedly healthier, it was considerably nastier.

I tried - nearly burnt out my blender and ended up with a gunk that i threw out - don't want your time
This deal is standard on Amazon, they usually alternate between crunch and smooth on the deal.

Stuff tastes decent enough, I would highly recommend Active Foods 1kg tubs (crunch or smooth) for a lovely natural flavour (again, no added nasties) but is better in consistency than the Meridian stuff (no so ‘machined’ in texture).

Anyone comparing this, or the 1kg natural peanut butter stuff to supermarket brand rubbish, are just fools. You pay peasant prices, and enjoy your nasty peanut mess with more additives than actual peanuts in it. I suggest you give these natural brands a whack, you will never go back.

Heat OP, good deal.

And where do i source the unsalted peanuts? somehow adding salt makes them cheaper. unless i sit there crushing monkey nuts there are no readily available nuts in stores to be making my own. yeah i said nuts.. make a joke..

These peanuts need to be roasted in the oven at 180/160 fan for 10 minutes then straight into the blender before the oils evaporate

Never seen the 750g at Tesco. The smaller jars are with the spreads and the 1kg tubs (6.99) are with the food suppliments.

I’m not sure where it’s located in store. I ordered mine online at Tesco.com
They are with the standard size ones. Never seen this size before either but noticed them today,
Can anyone rate this vs whole earth organic? Not tried meridian

It’s very nice. I love peanut butter and don’t have anything else. Needs a good mix when you get it because the oil separates and sits on top.

Unless I'm missing something, that's £5.99 per kg. This is £3.70 per kg
Aldi The Foodie Market Wholenut peanut butter £1.29 for 340g. 38p per 100g. smooth or crunchy. Pretty good stuff.
I prefer the Whole Earth for the consistency, this seems to come out very oilly. Perhaps I am not mixing well enough?
How long do these last when opened. Might get some for work breakfasts

If I hadn't tasted it myself I would have scoffed at your comment. Whole Earth makes the best peanut butter I've tasted but I have no problem eating this Aldi brand either as it's not far off being as good and much cheaper.

Tastes completely different and oil builds up at the top of the jar. The skins are left on the peanuts resulting in a very bitter taste.

I bought 5 jars when a deal was posted on here for I think it was a £1 a jar in Tesco. Threw 4½ jars in the bin and I absolutely love peanut butter.

Vile!!!

Not lies, it's called my opinion! It doesn't taste good at all and is very bitter. Whole Earth peanut butter doesn't go all oily like this one does.

If you like it you eat it but someone was asking how this tastes in comparison to Whole Earth's peanut butter and if you're saying there is no difference it's you who is spreading lies.

This peanut butter has no added palm oil,its all peanuts with a dash of salt.
Do check the ingredients on own brands.

I was disappointed to find that one has added oil in the ingredients
I'm not sure this is much of a deal? I buy it fairly regularly as it's great stuff. But I've never paid this much for it....
The oil on the top of meridian peanut butter is perfectly natural.
The reason other brands don't separate is because they are not 'pure' peanut butter, they have the addition of palm oil. Palm Oil contains a lot of saturated fat and which makes it semi solid at room temperature; so when it's added to peanut butter if stabilises the mixture and thus prevents the peanut oil separating.
Where do you buy yours from?

Usually online from various fitness sites, but Holland & Barret often have it on offer or less than this also.
