You should try Tesco

Having eaten porridge every day for the last 10 months (health kickoff drop from 85 - 73kg) I can tell you there is literally no difference between Quaker Oats and the COOP 75p for 1kg value oats. The nutrition is identical, the taste is identical. Good price for Quaker, but paying more for the same item compared to the cheap stuff.

You should try Tesco

Tesco has 2 for £3 offer so this is cheaper.

where could i find more details please? could not find this offer in co-operative food website

its £1 IN morrisons

nainai

its £1 IN morrisons

That's for 500g

I prefer supermarket own brands cheaper also

I agree, not much difference between brands and I have tried most of them. I do find Mornflake to be slightly creamier but Aldi (in the white paper bag) at 75p a Kg is comparable to it. However, heat added because this is a good deal for this brand.

I very recently started eating porridge, had not eaten any for about 15 years or more. saying there is no difference between cheap oats and a brand like quaker oats is nonsense.

I had some super cheap tesco cheap oats up until recently, sure, it was edible.. But after finding a few boxes of this quaker stuff for 20p a box on clearance in my local sainsburys I could not go back.

The texture of quaker is superior to the cheap oats I had bought.. way more husky bits in them and different texture.

Not saying all cheap oats are bad, just that there is a difference in different brands of oats.

You would probably have to try them all to be sure,Asda ones I don't like but Morrisons ones are nice.

Lidl do 1.5kg bags for £1.19 (80p/kg) of jumbo oats and it makes lovely thick porridge.

They are only £1 for 1kg anyway so wheres the deal!
