A good cider for a fantastic price. Might not be as good as Old Rosie, but for £4 you really can't go wrong!

I believe this is normally around £7.50, so a good deal.

Hmm it was £4 when i bought it over the summer.
taste wise, it needs more 'taste' compared to other westons ciders

£4 in Asda *

You do know "taste" doesn't qualify as an ingredient don't you?

Not as lethal as Old Rosie either!

Definitely £4 in August

I found it disgusting. Just my 2 cents, I'm quite into cider.

It was £3.99 in Lidl a month ago. Tastes like phish, but it'll get you wasted if that's all you want.

Yeah I found it tastes a bit watered down, they sometimes have this cheap in home bargains and the like too.
Better off looking for a farm shops with a couple of scrumpies on offer and doing a taste test. It's often cheap if you go back and reuse the same container!

Old Rosie is nonsense as well. Weston's just don't do small scale cider production anymore - very few of their products constitute traditional cider but are much better than Thatcher's, Henney's or any other of the brands on our supermarket shelves possibly with the exception of Sheppey's.

If getting wasted is the objective then there are cheaper alternatives. I doubt this was in OP's thinking when posted. If traditional cider is the objective then jacksonliam has hit the nail on the head.

I've found that Weston's cider has a nasty metallic aftertaste, kind of like TCP. If you like this stuff however, can't argue with 2L for £4.

i saw this cider recommended in a newspaper - probably a bit on the pricey side though.

Disagree about the Thatchers, they do a range of traditional flat ciders from their factory you'll never find in the supermarkets. Mail order too.

e.g.

Thatchers Cheddar Valley Cider 6% 20L box (35 pints) £42.00 delivered (£1.19/pint)

Taste as the say is a matter of.......
I quite like it and at £4 for 2l think it's a good.

It's stronger than Old Rosie though, 7.5% compared with 7.3%.

I got a bottle of this yesterday, and it has now gone up to £4.50 instore. That makes it the same price as Asda now.
