Can't be worse that's for sure

Delivery is £6 op

Shame they didn't throw in 4G as that would give me more of an incentive to change.

Hmm, that confirms a cold vote from me.... Better deals will come!

I thought it was 4g sorry what was moto thinking no chance I would get this now

Leaves room for a Moto G 2nd gen 4G...

All very confusing for the general public

Looks good ,shame I bought the old one a couple of months back - seems they've attended to most of the minor criticisms :-
4.5" screen ---------- now 5"
No expansion memory capability ---------- now micro sd slot - really good improvement !
5mp camera ---------- now 8mp
single sim ---------- now dual sim
still no NFC by the looks of it , but looks like decent upgrades for around the same price (old MotoG had a rrp of £149.99 ) so will hopefully come down to £100 soon .

Cold, not a Xiaomi mi3

Does it have dual band wifi?

Same battery size though. Battery life can't be good.

Dual SIM, yay! But not 4G?!

Its not dual sim.

Camera has a F2 rather than F2.4 aperture now and a wider focal length. Real shame about the lack of 4G at launch though, It's only supposed to be £145 I think, be interesting to see which (if any) UK highstreet shops have stock already. As it's clearly been shipping for a while.

£149.99 free standard delivery … £149.99 free standard delivery http://www.expansys.com/motorola-moto-g5-black-265662/

Just spoken to a Clove Technology sales rep on the phone, they won't budge on free delivery within UK as they claim they're priced as agressive atm. X)

Wait for Tesco then it is.

The S3 has a f/2.6 aperture but PQ is substantially better than the moto g. F/2 will let in more light but will the lens still produce poor quality photo's in comparison to the S3 for example.

Will get the 4G 4.5" screen version, just need to get one that can be unlocked

They announced that it would be available first on Amazon for £145, but that doesn't seem to have happened yet...

Yea, its a bit of a shame, especially considering the bigger screen.

But the better cameras and speakers make it worth it IMO. The samples from the new 8MP camera are significantly better than the rubbish that the originals 5MP would spit out.

Course the improvements are good but screen time kills it.

I can't get over them going backwards with some of the spec, plus no difference in the CPU or RAM. It's like half an upgrade rather than a new phone. I imagine they might bring out a 4G version with a bigger battery in a few months time. GSM Arena suggests there might be a 16GB version too?

At least its not as bad as the new Moto X will last with its even bigger screen, 1080p res and SD801 chip... all powered by a 2300mah battery. Those sort of specs need at least a 3000mah battery to last the day.

I understand that, but the biggest problem with these small sensors is they produce very high noise as anything other than base ISO, so the lens being nearly a stop faster is a definite plus.

And all for £400 without sd expansion.
I wont be getting this because of the battery, unless it turns out to be larger.
