I'm expecting over 1000 heat

SSDs have a limited lifespan, who in their right mind would buy a used one?

As already mentioned without knowing how much work this has already experienced there's no deal for me. If it's not well used then the price is probably about right, if it's had a hard life then it's probably about £30 overpriced. I would also add that 2 year warranty is not all that great as for £50 you can get one of these drives with a 5 year warranty, it be brand new and probably a more recent model than this one.

But it's a long life and highly likely to last a long time.

I personally think it's a great price. But seeing as you declared an expectation of 1000° I couldn't help but vote cold. Sorry!

the 1000 heat looks a bit cold

Pity heat added.

EDIT: Hit cold by mistake.

As do HDD. What do you use?

M.2 drives from CEX are mostly stolen. The scummy customers often take the drives from Dell business machines and sell them on. I had a drive that was stolen in this exact way. If you see say 3 of the same M.2 drive at one store via the online stock checker, you can almost guarantee it's stolen property, sold by the same person.... but CEX don't seem to care.

Buyer beware.

Voted cold to help you on your way to the -1000 heat you expect.

....wait... you expected +1000 oO

I assume these were used 24/7 in SAN storage arrays in a data centre.

CEX: Crucial M500 120GB 2.5" SSD SATA 500.
WeSell for £42.00: WeBuy for cash £19.00

Well for those markups; well Hmmm. - Ive never trusted anything from CEX. and at their selling price you can buy a new one for only a little more.

who want to buy ssd from CEX? u can still get new 128GB just luk around or wait for sale.

i have both a hdd and an ssd, the ssd is purely for windows though, and a 2tb hdd for everything else. i have the common sense to have an image of the ssd saved on the hdd and external storage though.

its down to the read/ write cycles, if its had a lot of use it could already be well over half way through its lifespan. and when they fail, thats pretty much game over. There is usually no warning.

My 256GB M.2 SATA was mispriced as 4GB DDR3 laptop RAM for £10 - basically zero hours use, 500MB/s... worth keeping an eye out!
