I got this SSD a few weeks ago from Amazon. Benchmark test speeds were excellent, even on Real World tests.

However, I've noticed a severe decline in transfer speed over time transferring both large documents, and a large number of files.

Also, the degradation indicator is at nearly 10% despite only about 6 TB being written. Weird.

It's also very light in weight, and feels like it would be virtually empty if I broke it open. I have an old samsung ssd, probably 10 years old, and that's properly solid

I've got a sandisk 2tb sata drive and it feels really light, i think this is normal now. The 10% degradation would be a bit worrying though.

    These things getting crazy cheap

They really have to get even cheaper as we suffered waiting for their prices to drop.

Unless you really need the 2.5 inch form factor, an NVMe M.2 drive from WD / ebuyer is £20 more and will offer over 5x the speeds.

    Good price otherwise

What if I already have the M.2 slot preoccupied and want an SSD like this?

It must have been oos then. There's a link that gets it for £83.99 from Ebuyer /ebay, if you like.

Someone activated it, apologies as it's not available in the basket. (edited)
