2TB Samsung HD203WI Spinpoint F3EG

In the Today Only Section, click on the "BUY" button and not the direct product link, this reverts to normal price. By clicking on the "BUY" button it adds to the basket As £63.44!

Has been this price recently, an alternative to the F4! The F3 is regarded as one of the better 2TB drives and works well in most NAS systems, these are great for those who went for the HP Microserver deal!

Free del via AVForums & Hexus (I think!)

I know a lot of you don't like Scan etc... But touchwood I've never had an issue with them or a failed HDD!

Anyone know if these will work with a HP mediasmartserver? Got F2 running with no issues

thanks

I bought 4 x 2TB Samsung F4s from dclstore.com for £247.23 delivered which makes them £61.81 each. Cheapest I can find for now.

The F4's use less platters so should be more reliable, faster and more energy efficient.

They should work fine.

There never seems a right time to buy memory as you know the next day its going to be cheaper.

What's this got to do with memory?

A very wrong way. The same people call the computer case "the hard drive" .. oh well. Ignorance is bliss!

They just get cheaper and cheaper, will have to buy another one before the VAT rise in January Hopefully they'll be a super deal.....

do you have to do the updates with these? like the F4's?

No these don't use 4k sectors so just pop them straight in!

Although the deal and the site itself say that it will be updated on 4 January, almost all of the "Buy" links on the "Today Only" list (including these drives) no longer work...
