Appreciate the cold votes due to these being cheaper in the past.
Unfortunately, I don't own a time machine so can't go back and grab some :(.

i wouldn't recommend samsung hard drives or media drives. very high failure rates. might just be with me but not had good experiences with samsung hard drives or dvd drives.

I almost always use Samsung HDD's for custom builds (and I build a LOT of PC's) and my own machines, haven't had a single failure in the last year.
I know the F1 drives had major issues, but from the F2's onwards they have been fantastic for reliability and performance.

Wish I could say the same about the few WD drives I've used.
