My uncle had a Ford in the 80s, he had nothing but bother with it. I will never buy a Ford, always Vauxhall.
Well I also seemed to have failed discs with Seagate over WD. Just recently I had to swap out a seagate drive in my NAS. yes it was 6 years old but same as as the WD in there and that didnt have an issue.

Anyway I went for the CCL Ebay deal for 2 x $TB Ironwolf drives for the NAS. Thought I give it another punt. Both Drives came and guess what? One was faulty, couldnt believe it.

Unluckly when I sent it back to CCL, even though I wanted a replacement they gave me a refund. It weas a billy bargain at £86 ha.

Basically I seem to have worse luck with seagate that WD but my buiddy who sits next to me in work, as the same issues with WD.

its just pot luck
hard to be excited by 2TB when for double the price you can get 3x the size.

seriously, google it, any external drive is just a internal drive in a easily removed casing (they just a caddy and have normal sata connectors inside the case), so plenty of options, seen a samsung 6TB for £90 other day.... but heres one by seagate argos.co.uk/pro…531
