Hot! Great price.

Does anyone knows if this is suitable for WHS? Basically this will be used to hold movies and access by multiple machines (prob 3 concurrent machines max), or would it be better to fo for a 7200rpm hdd?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for that. Will order 1 today, but going to see what they have on TodayOnly for the weekend.

Cheers

5900RPM? Never heard of that before! Always 5400 or 7200?

good price. bought one last time. only criticism is they can make an annoying clunking noise (several comments on this around the web). doesn't necessarily indicate impending death but irritates me in my otherwise quiet readynas.

Very hot Ordered a couple for my WHS build... thanks

I think I may finally have enough erotic videos to warrant this purchase. Thank you, HotUKdeals poster.

You need to update the firmware to CC35 which is on the seagate website.

Have seen 5900RPM drives around for a year or so, but not that common.

I thought it was a mistake, so checked the Seagate website.

Just found the new 2TB Samsung F4 drive for £75 from Scan:

This is 4 platters though unless I'm mistaken. Personally I'd rather go for a 3 platter 2TB drive like the Samsung F4.

Samsung f4 gets my vote as well...well at least until the f5!

Still does it I'm afraid. some have said it might be they don't like being on their side in NAS bu that seems strange.
