Not sure if you mean taking it from enclosure and adding internally. Some 2.5" drives can be too high

It will work perfect with PS4.. expands the storage and loads at the same speeds. Then if you ever upgrade to the PS5, Xbox.. basically it'll work with anything 👌

Any external usb hard drive likes this will work but this is a great price for one.

I can't find anything to explain, such as having a different drive inside.
Have u considered backing up to the cloud. Amazon Glacier may suit u as a long-term solution. Very cheap to backup to. Retrieval is priced different.....

I have various cloud options, but there is ZERO chance I'll EVER upload anything to a cloud based system where who knows has access to it. Nope, never. As somebody else asked - yes I am OCD, and getting worse as I get older. So much so, when I shuffle off this mortal coil, I'm going to come back to life immediately to croak again, just to make sure. Maybe even a third time, to be completely sure. And maybe a fourth time, to be absolutely sure I'm sure.

Have you got resiliency in case the worst happens, eg a fire?
You can always encrypt your data locally before uploading it into the cloud.
Many of the challenger banks make extensive use of the cloud and they are FCA regulated so need to make sure security measures up.
