just to think the other week I bought a 10 litre tub of crown paint from B&Q for 17 quid. Took it back thought after reading the bad reviews!

This stuff any good or is it water like?

I second that emulsion.

Is this paint any difference/better than that available at a local homebase/BIY etc...?

Tried it - yuck smells like pee!

Ignore that, I just had a look at the reviews, seems the stuffs pretty good

Would anyone recommend this paint for use in bathroom/kitchen walls/ceilings?..

Are stains easy to wipe off?

Used this stuff for doing up my house. Left bits all over the walls like little pimples. Swapped to Crown and normal again. Not sure whether it was a bad batch but Screwfix took the whole lot back

I saw this stuff and also wondered if any good as it said TRADE CONTRACT as opposed to the normal stuff you get in B&Q etc

Used Crown 10L (B&Q 2 for £25) and it was terrible

Does anybody have any experience with these trade contract labeled paints?

I have used the same brand bare plaster paint for - wait for it- painting onto bare plaster and it covers well and goes on like a thing that goes on well and sticks like...you get the general idea.

Still with me?

Then I painted on top of two coats of the above with the White matt and to the undiscerning eye you could get away with that but I'm a different breed, like a border longhorn of the DIY paint your new extension yersen as you've no brass left variety, so I put two coats on.

The rest of the room is painted in a poncy Little Green 40 quid for 2.5l grey and the two are happy (as it were) bedfellows.

Still here?

It's Bina Long-Day.

It's a contract paint so it contains no vinyl, if wiped the paint will most likely wipe off. It's mainly suitable for base coating, new plaster, or ceilings where a durable finish isn't required.

For a wipeable finish I'd recommend either an acrylic eggshell, durable matt or soft sheen finish.

any offers for kitchen & bathroom paint???

You should dilute this with water if painting new plaster. 50/50 should do it.

I've used the bare walls one its great. as mentioned the Leyland trade is a winner for me

After six months painted onto a busy hall wall its been fine (2 coats)

Been using dulux trade for 2 rooms ceilings and walls (£32 for 10L). Was very good but used almost 30L to get from plaster to brilliant white. I knew there was far cheaper out there but usually a line of complaints to go with it! Wish I seen the positive reviews for this stuff.
