Good price before the time machine kit start commenting
Good price, heat added.

For 1600hz DDR3 you may be better just scouring eBay for used kits though. Managed to grab 2x8GB for 45 quid just yesterday.

Have seen 4x4 kits regularly selling for ~60 quid too.

People are constantly upgrading to DDR4 and selling off their RAM so you can get pretty sweet deals.

i picked up 1x8gb for £20 about 8 weeks ago and gave up on the second and picked it up for £26.99 3 days ago
feels bad man wanted to pay £40 for the set

that completes my upgrade of my two ivybrige i7's to 32gb each
Want DDR4 not ddr3
Thanks very much for this, I have an older PC with 8GB DDR3 and been trying to decide what to do with it as the new ram prices are crazy but at the same time I wasn't keen on trying my luck second hand. Surprisingly my local store have a couple of packs in stock so I've got 32GB reserved.

Just wedge it in the slot - it will go in if you push hard enough
Stupid now ram prices are just a joke nowadays, I paid £44 in March 2016 for 16GB (2x8GB) AMD Radeon R9 Gamer Series DDR3-2133, CL10-11-11-30 from Amazon

Twice the ram and less than half the price only 2 years ago. WTF!

I know, I upgraded my PC a couple of years ago for VR but decided against putting more ram in at the time as it was running fine without it. Boy do i regret that choice now as it would have been much cheaper.

Oh well, hindsight is wonderful and all that. Picked up a couple of packs of this ram and now appears to be running fine in my PC.

Twice the RAM?
Once the RAM.

Yeah but the big word there is “used” not new like the advert is.

Does used come with a warranty and can you tell me that it’s going to work 100%

Used from eBay, 100% represents the probability that you will get a full refund if the item arrives broken or fails within 30 days of purchase.
Brand New, 100% is the guarantee you will get a refund or replacement within 12 months.
Neither option offers 100% guarantee that the item will work on arrival.

If you like to gamble high and live dangerously on eBay you can do better than RAM sticks, which as a general rule have decent longevity and are physically more robust compared to graphics cards, HDDs etc, therefore far less prone to damage during transit/extraction from a motherboard.

So, if the RAM works when it arrives, chances are it will work 12 months later.
But everything's a roll of the dice..

Like Stimpington said - RAM is an extremely low risk purchase, easily tested, and eBay will protect you if you receive a faulty item.

This is not like buying a used motherboard or PSU where potential issues may be non-evident and/or ruin your whole rig.

I too think this is a good deal for new RAM, though (which is why I upvoted it).
