These are usually £10 for 1 in Screwfix. £8.99 for 1 in Toolstation so 2 for £10 is a fab deal! And great quality.

Good tape measures

I have a whole set of these from this damn site

Looking at them, they are far to chunky and big, the older smaller Stanley Metal case tape measures were so much better, but harder to find

I find the tylon ones quite flimsy and difficult to measure long distances. I always go for the fatboy type.
I am not too sure about the quality of these. I have 2 of them and they have both twisted, however the 5 metre version has a narrower tape and has stayed straight.

Why do you need 2?
Superb deal. I never leave home without my trusty tape measure plus a backup. I often like to know the measurement of stuff around me and would hate for a tape measure failure to ruin my day. Easily worth the peace of mind for a tenner. Thanks OP

To measure over 8m

Surely cheaper to get a longer tape measure?
any good for Warhammer?
I bought one for £8 last week from Amazon. Also lots of stock (which is usually the bad thing about Screwfix deals) in all stores near me. Hot
That deal comes back from time to time. When I posted it few months back it was cold and now quite hot. I guess the deal temperature has to be directly connected with time of the year

Or common sense to draw a line and remeasure...

You can calibrate them with a subway sandwich
Great tapes and this is a great deal!

I’m a welder/fabricator and these are my favourite tapes to use for 15 years now, used and abused and they last a year or more daily use.. We equipment checked for accuracy and these have always been spot on 🏼

What did you check them with?

We usually check them against a certified steel ruler we have.

To be honest, these are class II standard (+/- -1.9mm) and for most applications they are going to be just fine.
These are on offer more often than they’re not.
I've had these in the past, not really good quality -the scale rubs off easily and they seem to twist easily also, If you want a good tape measure try Fisco tapes ( made in England)

Good price but too flimsy.. fat max is the best
Just been watching this about the advent vice versa, such a good idea.

COLD. feet and meters? no thanks

Nothing worse than trying to measure and one side of the tape is in different units of measurement 😵
Just ordered and getting the extra £3 Easter topcashback Voted hot
