This is brilliant, another reason I'm very happy with Santander (despite the account fee increase).

Get 3% cash back on Apple Pay purchases with your Santander 123 account.

That's a max of £0.90 cash back on any £30 Apple Pay transaction! I got 19p back today from lunch! (Might even double up if you have Quidco linked to your cards!)

Offer ends 29th Feb 2016, though they're likely to increase that if it proves popular!

    Who voted this cold? Why?

If you are with Santander and have an applicable Apple device, then great... if not jog on

No idea why this is getting voted cold! Automatic 3% cash back if you have Santander123 and use Apple products - if you don't use those then don't vote!

Not sure if it's in the T&Cs for Santander, but Apple Pay isn't constricted to the £30 limit of usual contactless, however this is only applicable in stores which have updated to most recent version of contactless payments.

I haven't personally tried it, but was told by a "Genius" at Apple store...

I believe Apple Pay is restricted to £30 by most retailers.

I use Apple Pay a lot, very useful a quick for lunch, coffee, travelling etc. Handy to get the 3% back now!!
Dang, I left Santander a month or so ago when I moved to Nationwide. I use Apple Pay a lot myself now as well so this would have been handy.
This offer is for the 123 Credit Card, NOT the 123 Bank Account.
Click the link in the details above and it says you can use a debit or credit card to link to Apple pay.

Personally I prefer the TSB contact less promotion which is 5% cashback plus it doesn't rely on me having a compatible device.

Yep you can link credit or debit card .....BUT you will only get the cashback if your using 123 CREDIT card

They are obviously losing a tonne of 123 credit card customers (includng myself) and bringing this out to try and save some of them but to get £36 back thats a fair amount of 3% sales

My mistake, I just re-read and yes it is just for the 123 credit card not the debit card if you want the 3% cashback.

Ah well, I have the credit and debit cards! I'm happy!
I too will be ditching my 123 cc card now the fees have increased. Unless you habitually use credit cards £36 is a lot of cash back to earn. That said, I see they're offering free international transactions until February which ,any help some. They do of course offer this on the world cc as standard.

In 1 year I've made £501 in cash back across the debit and credit cards! More than covers the fees - even surprised me how much actually!! At the moment it's around £30/month
