About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
So for this you need to buy a digital copy of the standard edition of the game (link is to Microsoft Store and using their price as example)
After this, go to the Xbox Store and look for the "Cross Gen Bundle". The price will be marked down from £65 to £5
This is the cost that standard edition owners pay to upgrade to cross gen bundle, but as you can gift two copies of any Microsoft/Xbox Store item to friends. If you gift this the recipient will receive the full game, not just an upgrade.
Meaning that for the cost of the original standard game (£60 direct from MS/Xbox Store) plus 2 x £5 upgrade charges, you can get 3 copies of the full game
Meaning for £70 total you can have three copies of the game, split between the recipients and yourself that's £23.33 per copy.
I have done this myself yesterday with 2 friends and they have confirmed full game has downloaded.
Happy to answer any questions on the process!

There's always one! Why did you do this? Seriously? (edited)
I hope they take action. I did the refund trick to get the game for £5 and been saddled with guilt since. Only a ban can give closure and help me move on.
They're aware and not stopping the loophole? Seems odd to me. Also why would you even go to XBL chat in the first place?
All you’ve done is enter a code, sent by your friend and played a game. You think Microsoft are going to ban people... for life... right before Christmas... when there is a new Xbox out... at the same time as the new playstation console.... and god knows how many games...
You think Microsoft are going to ban someone... for life... for entering a code sent by their friend.
Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahah man there are some dumb people out there. These people must go to the police station to report themselves if they accidentally go 31mph in a 30 zone
Why?....Just....why?
They fixed the loophole that was allowing this, which was an oversight on Activision’s part, not Microsoft’s (they submit their game and allow the -£60 discount).
They’ll review it and push an update to stop this happening in future and they’ll move on with their lives. Do you really think they’re going to waste the manpower to hunt down and ban let’s say 10k accounts which exploited a loophole on their end, for a product that probably sold in the millions of copies already? Give me a break.
Everyone arguing over this should play some games and move on with their lives
You knew full well it wasnt legit. I'm guessing you either decided to inform them or you've completely made your statement up. I highly doubt Microsoft would have told you action will be taken.
Step 2: Buy this and gift it to your own email address. (you can do this twice)
Step 3: Click here to redeem gifted code, ensure your logged into the account linked to your xbox.
Step 4: Go onto your xbox and look for available downloads and start to install the game on your xbox, if you can't find it in available downloads just search for the game in the game store and it should say "you own this" and let you start the install.
(Optional) Step 5: Click here to request a refund for the £59.99 game. Scroll down the page slightly, it should say "To start your refund request, sign in."
I heard someone got jail time for it. True story.
I can confirm buying the Standard edition, then gifiting to your game share friend and refunding works! I also gifted one extra £5 copy to other friend whom also game shares. So thats 4 copies for £10 in total!!
Note: It still shows as "Owned" in my friends stores even though I've refunded my copy. Although it doesn't say owned for me, I still have the option to download the "Cross Gen Bundle".
Update: Downloaded 30gb - enough to start the game. Can confirm gifting your game share friend the £5 copy and refunding the £60 copy works! Can get it for as little as £5 each. (edited)
Approximately 7%.
We clearly have different morals, I guess that's what makes us humans not robots eh.....you think it's a small little misprice & then somehow trying justify compare it to Microsoft's tax (which btw they are doing nothing wrong they are paying what is due within that tax structure, got a problem moan at Government)
Me, I think getting lots of keys on different cards & selling on for profit is just greedy & risking it for everyone that just paid full price & took a couple of cheap keys. I wouldn't dream of doing that just that's just my moral centre.....can't stand greed.
It's an open forum, so I can say exactly what I like....you can't shut me down though!
Peace out! (edited)
from eating all the pringles
I think it will be those that claim the refund that will get banned
Lets see the screen shot then.
No it isn't.
A seller doesn't have to sell a product for the rrp, even if that's the advertised price. if I walked into a shop and asked a member if staff if they would sell me CODCW for a fiver, and they agreed, that would be completely legal.
M$ Have a page offering CODCW at a 92% discount if it's gifted. If they've made a mistake that's their problem.
They've made things more difficult for themselves by having to sort out an undercharge involving two different people, where the person who benefits isn't the person who made the payment. And having been offered a price, accepted it, and received the goods the contract is fulfilled. Additionally, anyone who has had their refund referred for review can reasonably argue that a competent person reviewed their account activity and paid the refund in full knowledge of the gifting. On top of that they've sat on their hands for more than 12 hours. It's a real mess to sort out from the M$ perspective.... How many websites do you think this is on now, do you reckon 100s or 1000s of people have done this?
I'm sure many Of M$ own practices could be looked at the same way - last year M$ UK paid £34mn of tax on £2.8bn of earnings. - telegraph.co.uk/tec…bn/
Because he's the hero HUKD deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight. With an extra month of gpu (edited)
Do you really think Microsoft will ban 100's of there customers for the sake of a big mess they allowed to happen?
They should never agreed to allowing game studios to charge customers twice for the same game in the first place. It should have been the same price across all platforms regardless of the generation on console. Lets wait to see how they handle this mess.
If they do start banning consoles then they will have a lot of warranty repairs for faulty consoles coming back there way
