What is LEGO Dimensions?

Build the minifigure heroes and fire-up the game to start the experience, then follow the in-game build instructions to assemble the loose bricks into the LEGO Gateway, and place the structure on the LEGO Toy Pad. Expand the adventure by collecting more minifigures, vehicles, gadgets, and new levels with the purchase of three different types of expansion packs. Use whatever minifigure with whichever vehicle or gadget – go ahead… break the rules!

    No you don't need the level packs... all you really need is the starter pack. Everything else is optional. These fun packs will unlock a character, a vehicle and the corresponding world to explore in. For example, Zane will unlock the Ninjago world and Krusty will unlock the Simpsons world. The Lego Movie, Lord of The Rings and DC Comics worlds are unlocked from the start as you get Wildstyle, Gandalf and Batman with the starter pack. The level packs work the same way as the fun packs except you get an additional vehicle, plus a story level to play through (seperate to the main game). These last around 30 mins. Basically it depends on how much you want to spend and the amount of additional content you'd like. You do get a lot of gameplay just with the starter pack. Hope this helps

    Hmm that's difficult to answer. I'd just go for the ones you think he'd enjoy most! But i'd definitely say The Wicked Witch is a good one to go for as it's a flying character and the only one who can access the Wizard of Oz world. Cyborg has a few good in-game abilities and so does Cyberman. No problem, happy to help

    I cold voted this as had posted the deals earlier on as the prices were all dropping before the 3 for 2 had been applied.

    If I could, I would retract the cold vote but I'm afraid I can't. I will just have to take the hit on my posts which this one now trumps.

    You're not going to find Dimensions Fun Packs cheaper than this deal if you have Prime. If you don't have Prime, just buy 6 sets!!!

    Damn this is going to cost me!!

    I bought three sets from amazon.com last week for £22 including delivery. Then I got three of the £7.99 sets for £15.98. Then I decided to add another three of the £12 sets!!

    So in the last week I've spent £62 on 9 Fun Packs, which works out at £6.89 each. This is the price they should have been in the first place though!!!

    I think I at least now have a character for every single hub world. Chima, Ninjago, Lego Movie, Lord of the Rings, Simpsons, Dr Who and Back to the Future.

    It's better than the Tesco deal as some sets are £7.99, so three can be had for £15.98!!

    Bad cop has been dropped to just over £8 now.

    Definitely hot from me - pondered Tesco deal at lunch with Clubcard vouchers, but as I wanted the two newest (Cyberman & Doc Brown packs), they were full price everywhere.

    But on Amazon, they are down to £10.90 each, so added the Wicked Witch which I wanted and all 3 for £23.98 delivered - best I could do for the ones I wanted

    Phew!! Glad I impulse bough 9 of the packs and saved around £16 compared to the prices today.

    Double check that the ones added are from Amazon and not another seller. I found a couple of times that the ones it added automatically were the cheapest but as they weren't from Amazon it didn't do the 3for2

    I waited and waited hoping that the packs I really wanted would drop in price but everything has increased instead lol. Oh well, will hold out for a similar deal in the future

    Yeah prices are up n down. I added 3 to the basket before the school run, came back to checkout and one had increased by £3+. Oh well I guess it's saved me £21

    if you get the lot in the optimal groupings the price increases only equate to +£16.81, not that I've considered buying them all or anything...
