Just been in my local Currys and found a few Buzz PS2 game bargains in their clearance sale. Even better, they were 3 for 2. I picked up Buzz! Junior Robo Jam plus 4 Buzzers for £9.97, Buzz! The Sports Quiz for £4.86 and Buzz! The Mega Quiz for free (else £4.86). They also had Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz solus for £9.97, and with buzzers for £19.97. In comparison, popped in to HMV and the 4 wired buzzers alone were £34.99.

Please note I'd already paid £9.75 for the Robo Jam game before noticing the 3 for 2, so went back to refund and buy two more on the 3 for 2. So the total was £14.61, and the reciept's just a messy way of doing it this is why I like buying online, more time to think things through

Rofl @ cold, these things sell for a min of £20, £15, £5 on ebay Bar Sainsburys, I don't know where you'd get em cheaper. If you know better, please comment.

Cold votes are nothing to do with how much their worth here, It's more about availability with this being clearance stock not all stores are going to have them and you need to check instore to see, Lots of wasted journeys, I've stopped voting for Currys/Dixons deals due to this fact.

:-( true... I guess this makes up for all those wasted trips to PC world then  I'd still have prefered a 9600 GT or 3870 though.

that's a great bargain....I hope I find something when I go tomorrow
Hot deal though, cos I know they are normally a lot more than that

Is it just me or did that not go through the checkout correctly?

1st item went through at minus £2 the second went through at £2 and the last full price.

Bargain none the less, girlfriend would have liked that :-P

read the bit after the receipt pic

Excuse the mess of a receipt; I purchased the robo den one before … Excuse the mess of a receipt; I purchased the robo den one before noticing there was a 3 for 2 offer, but they were happy to refund it then do me 3 for 2 with the other two games.

The -9 is the total from the refund being added to the new reciept, then the game being scanned again to bring the total to 0, then the two other games and the manager just manually discounting the lowest price off via the other two. I guess it was too simple to just charge me for a single one of the two £4.86 games

The total amount due was only £4.86. Makin that a buy 1 get 2 free. Looks like the cashier well and truly messed up on that one.

Why is it i never get bargains like that. Ah well, good find OP and enjoy.

Nah, I'd paid for the £9.XX earlier, they didn't go to the trouble of giving me the money back then me handing it straight back again, they just discounted it off the new receipt. Total was £9.XX plus £4.86. I say .XX, it's on the sticker as .97, on this receipt as .75, and I'm sure I originally paid .8 something which I thought was the VAT discount, but I gave that receipt back for the refund. Who knows...

That's how they've done the 3 for 2 for some reason.

- £2.00
- £2.86
= £4.86 (the cost of the free one)

[Ooops! posted same time as above!!!]

Absolute great bargain that is

I'm sure it'd get discounted properly when you do the whole thing in one go and don't mess it up like I did

York center, only have Hollywood solus and with buzzers left though.

are the buzzers in the OP wireless with the full block of colour per button rather than just an outline in colour?

They won't be wireless, as these are PS2 buzzers/games - not PS3...........

Got to be cold really.

The prices of the games are right, but have pretty much been this price for months, and stock will be VERY limited now.

I bought Buzz with Buzzers for this price from Currys in July last year! The 3 for 2 deal is purely a store specific things. This is why it is a managers discretion discount. Some stores have no deals, some BOGOF, some BOGOHP... I've seen them all

True. A London currys had these yesterday for a tenner each. No bogof. They did however have Bollywood Singstar for PS2 for 4.86.

Oh well in that case, just a York deal then. They did have practically all their games in clearance, inc. DS, 360, PS2, PS3, Wii, and all 3 for 2.

these buzzers are wired arent they? hot anyways.

Bury St Edmunds store had a further 25% off marked prices on all their clearance games.
Got Super Paper Mario on Wii for £14.98. Also had No More Heroes for £7.49. DS games were mostly marked at £19.97 (not a great clearance price!) so would be about £14.98 each.
They had some xbox and ps3 but no ps2.

I thoguht you could get wireless buzzers for PS2? or is it just the case that the ps3 ones work on the ps2?
