Yeah none of them.

Like Casino, Yesterday, Annihilation... all native 4K transfers. (There are plenty more.)

Think (or at least look up stuff) before you type and misinform others.

Upscaled 4K films are usually taken from a 2160p (2K) intermediary source, so not 1080p upscaled at all.

Upscales aren’t a bad thing either - Aquaman, Into The Spiderverse, Arrival are all upscales but are now being used as reference quality 4K discs.

What a terrible list.

Black Hawk Down, Casino, Gladiator, Watchmen, Boyz N Hood, Arrival, Phantom Thread, Private Ryan Big Lebowski, Scarface, Bridge on River Kwai, Darkest Hour, ET

All excellent films and most are excellent 4k maaters

This argument again? Having over 100 4k discs, some native 4k and some 2k upscales, the difference is in the HDR/Dolby Vision. Not the resolution. The Lion King 2019 is a 2k upscale and looks phenomenal.

There's only 2 in that list I wanted, so picked up Edgar Wright's Cornetto trilogy for £30 instead, but some bargain new titles like Hobbs and Shaw, Yesterday, Rocket Man included for those interested

Same problem I had too. Will teach me for buying them too soon.
What a terrible list.

Behave.

Some of these are only a few months old. Ten quid is ridiculous. I'd have bought Hobbs and Shaw and Yesterday but I used £24 cex credit recently on them.
I too struggled only because I own most of them (got well over 250 UK 4k releases) but Boyz N The Hood and Sherlock Season One I didn't have and I nabbed Watchmen Ultimate Cut as I'll sell the steelbook soon.

Struggled for three films I’d like to own out of the list. (That I didn’t already own/ wanted to upgrade).

Good price for Watchmen but a shame that they didn’t include the director’s cut in 4K, too - I think the Ultimate Cut is a bit of a novelty.

Really wanted Boyz In The Hood but it wouldn’t drop into my basket.

I’m always curious when people say things like this.
What are good films in your opinion?

The 3 for 30 UHD offer is the saving grace of 'Zoom Day' IMO.

At least six I'm after among that lot.

I'm in the same boat, decent selection but like you nothing I wanted to pull the trigger on. Those I would've got I already had on BR and didn't feel the need to upgrade.
Ahhh!! Need to stop buying to early. Some crackers here...

Scarface
Casino
Boyz N The Hood
Rocketman

Oh well, lesson learned.

It baffles me to be honest. Guess it’s the price to pay of having that Real or Fake website spread about on social media and here.

Pacific Rim is one of the best 4K blu rays you can buy, and yet due to it’s heavy use of CGI, it’s a 2K upscale.

That it is. It’s a cracking disc on normal blu ray too. I was surprised at how much more they managed to get out of it in 4K.

Next big hitter for me will be Star Wars. No doubt they’ll hit 2 for £30 on Zoom not long after too. I really should stop buying them on release.

I wont buy the prequels or the "special" editions.
So just Force, Rogue and Skywalker for me.

That’s understandable. I’m considering importing them from Australia if we don’t get the single releases. I’m not a fan of that Amazon exclusive packaging at all.

Thanks. I’ll have a look.

I’ve just seen that you can get all 9, plus Rogue One from Amazon Italy for about £15 each delivered. Downside is they don’t release until May 4th. Tempted by that if I am honest. (Rise of Skywalker is dated April 8th however).

2160p is 4K (3840x2160).

2K is Full HD (1920x1080).

The "K" number refers to roughly how many thousands of horizontal pixels, not vertical.

Yeah, for me HDR was what made upgrading to a 4K TV worth it. Increasing the number of pixels is nice and all, but HDR is a real game changer. That alone makes it worth buying 4K Blu-Rays, even if they are from 2K masters.

I'll always check whether they're native 4K before I buy, because I like to know, but it's not a deal breaker as long as they're good transfers - and they usually are, in many cases better than anything that's previously been done. This happened with Blu-Ray as well - lots of movies look better on Blu-Ray and it's not just because of the higher resolution but because transferring technology and mastering techniques improved massively in the 10 years between DVD and Blu-Ray, and they have only continued to improve.
Anyone know what the difference is between discs labelled "Red Tag"? Had a quick look and I can only really see a different listing of languages on the one's I've looked at.

Why is Hobbs and Shaw listed twice???

Think I've answered my own question. Red Tag is a security/anti-theft device:

Question I have now is why would anyone buy a disc with that fitted over a standard box version?

Nice. Boyz N the Hood, Casino and Lebowski for me.
That’s not such a bargain
Already had most so got Boyz in the hood, and two of 13 hours to sell at a later date.
Nice price, heatadded, thanks. Prices are basically the same as a used copy from the CEX website. I picked up Arrival, Blackkklansman and Us.
