Very good and hot, BUT are they the gigantus ones that stick out like a sore thumb, or into your eye as you pass.

Soon the subsidy that allows low enegy lamps to be sold so cheaply will be withdrawn and the price will rise up to £3 per bulb! so stock up.

Yes they are, loads in the Stockton-on-Tees branch

Is this a false economy? a. 11W is probably ok for a shoe box b. take a couple of mins to warm up c. lose brightness with time.

Saw some cheap bulbs in Asda if people don't have a Home Bargains nearby. Think it was around 13p for one.

Homebase have a big promotion on, of Energy saving bulbs I got GLS Bulbs 11w (but other wattages available) for 40p for 2 they were in orange and white boxes

bayonet or edison and loads of different styles and size energy bulbs much more than on there website at the moment

Give off a dull dim light and very conspicuous. Shops were targeted to ship out a certain number of low energy bulbs and because no one wanted to buy them at full price they have to be shifted for next to nothing now

These are really bad lighting, they can cause eye strain, migraines and effects of depressions and are not really suitable for people that undergo light therapy for SAD.

These CFL's are rubbish, your better off with LED lighting, yeah its more money to buy but they last longer and don't put out EMF and they don't have mercury in them which can mess up your nervous system if broken and inhaled. They also don't have a government guidelines that recommend you follow a certain step by step clean up process for health and safety reasons like what's suggested for CFL energy bulbs. You can also dispose of LED's in your normal dustbin, which is something your not meant to do with a CFL energy bulbs. You can also put LED any where, yet it is recommended that you don't use CFL lighting around children or pregnant women.

We've just dumped some low wattage bulbs and replaced with these

I assume this isn't a CLF? Give us some examples of equivalent LEDs please (equivalent to 100W)
