3 Mixed Peppers for 89p at ALDI

Found 11th Apr 2014
3 pack of mixed peppers currently 89p at ALDI. Used them over the last couple of days and the quality is good - they're also good sizes (generally find that when ASDA do the 3 pack, they're smaller sized peppers).

Link is to mysupermarket - can't find it on the ALDI site itself.

So it's not a good deal then?

I give up.

No not saying that. Just that you put 'currently' and by doing this makes people think it's discounted from a more expensive price. Comparing it to other supermarket prices for pack of three peppers then yes this is a good price

Its a good price but the norm for this retailer.

Sincere apologies then.

I thought the point in this site was to highlight good deals though.........

Ok yes it's a good deal. Letting people who don't know about it know

99p in tesco for those that like a date on a product or have one nearer - not really a deal.

Thats the word *deals* but when its normal price is it a deal?

I Find that fresh produce is normally fresher at Aldi since they have fewer lines per customer and more replenishment.

I personally find the opposite, excluding the super 6 offers. Though the slightly shorter life is generally offset by the cheaper price.

Stop being so touchy. All people did was (politely) correct the implication in your post that this is a limited time offer. No need to throw a hissy fit over it.

Tried the Asda and Morrisons 3 pack peppers and there quality was very poor vs Tesco version. Who else does very good fruit and vegetables?

Thanks

Aldi

Thanks for posting..I think it`s a good deal

Great Deal! Heat Added!

To be fair you could do a list of items have the price in Aldi vs others, we get all our meat and veg from them now, don't have to faff about with things being on offer

Mine had a sticker on saying "now larger size" or something to that effect.

Whilst the meat is cheaper that the other supermarkets we've given up on it and get ours from our local butcher because it's pretty much the same price and is far better quality. Obviously not everyone has this option. I agree on the veg (and fruit) about not waiting for offers. Whilst it's cheaper the potatoes seem to have more bits that need cutting out and the grapes aren't a big and juicy. Aldi are still far better value than the big players though.

In my Aldi this week they were reduced from 99p to 98p!!

red peppers are half price in lidl this weekend.

i think it's 32p - i bought three this morning.

Wouldn't you like to be a pepper too?

I agree! The cucumbers in Asda are disappointing! Yellow instead of white flesh and haven't got the succulent fresh flavour. Courgettes can be very nasty in Aldi. Make sure you look at the top where they are cut as if they are showing colours, they are not fresh. I had to throw away one in every three. Now that it is summer, I'd rather go to Tesco where the quality is a tad fresher. When I took the courgettes out of the bag after a shopping trip from Aldi, I would feel the heat in the bag! Now Tesco is doing two red and a yellow peppers at 99p, I opt for Tesco as I don't like the green one. Besides, my bag was stolen from a trolley in Aldi one Sunday and I emailed the CEOs, no response.. Beware when you go to ALDI. BEWARE!

Why would you leave your bag in your trolley open for anyone to steal?

Normal price:(

Been this price for a while. Normal price 99p, but seeing as how most places do 99p peppers now (to combat Aldi and Lidl's prices) I didn't think it was worth posting. Hey ho. Nice peppers though.

In my Aldi it says 89p was 99p so think it is a deal and im sure he meant currently at the time of posting, as you know that if it were to change tomorrow for example you would have lots of people sayng that it isnt 89p

It will vary store by store, day by day. There is no logical reason why the Asda ones would have been lower quality than Tesco. They've always been pretty much perfect in my local store.

The only criticism is you rarely get 3 different colours in the Asda packs now. Though as I much prefer red and green its a plus point for me!

I agree it always seems to be the same two red one green and they always seem to be smaller

Look peppers are 89p at Aldi... great! Even better if I can combine them with a couple of the other Offers:
https://www.aldi.co.uk/en/product-range/fresh-bakery/this-weeks-latest-super-6-offers/
and save £2.00 return trip to Asda etc.!!

Not ideal for all, but then again in all this sparing for deals people forget about all the running around costs!

Always this price so not classed as a deal

as she said it's not a 'deal' because it's always these price. Having heat doesn't constitute it being a deal. If that was the case then if something is cold, but it is still a lot cheaper than the original price, it's not a deal according to your theory
