Three is offering the 10 pounds discount if you already had one on sim only plans. This is for existing customers migrating to new plans with 4gb tethering. I got unlimited minutes, unlimited data with 4 GB tethering for 15 pounds on a 12 months sim only contract.

Good price - shame I'm only halfway through my current 12m contract with them!

Is this for an additional SIM or to migrate current one?

I was on monthly 15 pounds with 2000 minutes and unlimited data deal. They offered the discount continuation on new plan and I continued it. Number to ring is 08003583429.

Original Poster

On the website.. Its 25 pounds 12 months deal and then they have applied the 10 pounds discount on it.

That's silly..You were already on unlimited data.
What have you gained apart from locking yourself into a contract for another 12 months?
I'm already on their original one plan with unlimited everything including tethering for £15.

Original Poster

They r getting rid of that plan. I got the letter in post.

They offered me that £10 loyalty discound when I really pushed them but on the 1 month rolling contract so came to £18 per month

Have you missed the the current fiasco that's been going on for the past month?
As vikasgubta said they're getting rid of the old one plan once and for all, anyone that's on it currently will be moved off it by 5th jam if they're out of contract and as soon as possible once their contract is up if still in contract come January.
I've yet to get a sms or letter but I finished my 12 months last month.

Lol.. I never got that memo.
So we will be moving to the deal mentioned in op?
Only difference is limited tethering to 4gb?

Same as you. This is the first I've heard of this change, having not received a memo either.

I was actually out of contract as of last week, so I was weighing up my next move anyway... Need to work out what my next move should be.

I'm in the "first I've heard of it" camp. Does someone have a link to the page on the three website where this has been stated?

I can confirm that they are getting rid of the one plan all together and will be contacting everyone with the plan.

Anyone tht is on the one plan will stay on it as thy r....Thts wht 3 hav told me! Tht said don't be live the rumours & it's nearly jan I hav yet 2 receive any text or letter so......

wow you guys that haven't heard about the One Plan being cancelled must have all been living under the same rock, presumably some sort of work placement teambuilding holiday for a couple of months?

My 97 year old gran told me about it a while back and she's not got a computer or a mobile phone, she does have her own teeth though.

Prepare to be disappointed my friend, it's going to happen to all One Plan customers at some point in the near future, you might want to get that keyboard repaired btw.

I've not heard anything, any chance they're targeting heavy users?

Ditto, not heard anything about this. Will seriously think about taking my contract (and the 4 other ones ) I currently have elsewhere if this happens. I am not a power user but like to have the ability should I need to

Link to your 97 year old grandmother knowing about it or its not true lol

If you have never heard of it before, you have had the chance to live in ignorant bliss if nothing else. There are forums full of comment about this! You will shortly get a text or, like me, a letter which will effectively act as cancellation notice of my One Plan and say that I will automatically be moved onto a new plan with only 4gb tethering and less phone minutes in my case. The date for my change over is the 5/2/15.

This isn't targeting heavy users, it's everyone. The only way you can stay on the One Plan is if you are still in your contract period - after it will be cancelled and you will have to move tariff/network.

To be honest, I know a lot of people are not happy (I tether about 20gb a month) but I would rather know what users like me are doing in terms of maintaining their broadband.

Sorry for the off topic post.

Not a bad deal, i phoned u two weeks ago to leave and got all you can eat minutes, texts and 4gb data with 2gb tethering on £15 month rolling. Shows as £8 discounted.

Think your deal is better tho.

I'm on a one month rolling contract at £23 per month.. if i phone and ask for my PAC code will they offer me this?

lol, sorry bud, it's this new bloody iPhone! Let's see, il keep u informed;-)

Really? You're citing a forum post?

I just spoke to three and they have said there are 2 X £15 per month sim only 12m contracts.

One of them has 300 mins and the other has 600 mins.

They didn't know anything about the unlimited mins offer.

Any advice welcome...

Thanks

i can see their point. many of us have been out and about with a full signal. but can't even make a phone call let alone download an email. after speaking to their customer services. they told me that tethering was gobbling up their streaming and had no way controlling it.
with some users tethering over 200 gig a month made local three users suffer a poor service.

they told me because of the upgrades they have done. in some areas it made the speeds of data for download and and uploads in some areas 10 times better them landline internet providers and found some people had simply cancelled their broadband and relied on three mobile for internet.

i myself have used tethering for downloading and uploading files because of the speed. and have used over 10 gig a month but not on a regular basis

but three are sticking to their guns on it

Lol been on this deal for over a year its the best out there

I also tried to get this deal today and was told it's not available to all existing customers. I was told the number I called (posted on this thread) was not the right number for this offer.

Tried signing up for this as an existing customer who has just come to the end of their contract. No chance. The operator was adamant no such deal existed or was available.

Guys, its official they're changing ALL on the ONE plan - no more unlimited tethering!

And you MUVT get in touch with them otherwise they will simplty transfer you automatically onto a VERY crappy deal of only 200 mins for more then what yr paying now.

They only offered me 4g of tethering plus everything else unlimited, for the hoiked up price from £12 to £18 a mth on a monthly rolling contract.

TMobile are offering the same contract that I'm currently on of 2000 mins which includes unlimited tethering (I rang their customer service to check) with no capping, throttling or fair usage policy.

If you do it through carphone warehouse, you get a £75 cashback after 6mths, so it works out at only £14.50 a mth.

In other words you get the same deal as the One plan on 3, but even cheaper!

Where is it official?

Yeah, I fully understand their reason behind it although long term I also think AYCE data will become a thing of the past too. It was a decision they made to get as many customers as possible and it seemed they misjudged the effect on the network it would have. When you offer unlimited tethering and people then use large amounts of data, well, you can't be too surprised can you? Unfortunately they have swung so far the other way they now offer the least tethering on a phone contract of any operator (that offers tethering) as all the other networks allow you to use you (limited) data allowance for tethering up to 20GB (if you have that contract).

I am still undecided - I went into a 3 store the other day and was offered the iPhone 6 plus as an upgrade without the initial payment saving £100 (at £60pm). That would only give me 2GB tethering though so they would offer me £15GB mobile broadband with a free mifi device for £15.99pm. That means I would be paying £75.99pm for something that would offer me less for more than I am paying now which is £42pm but that included the handset cost too (plus the initial payment which was something like £130).

Would have liked this deal, I got "The Letter" which told me I would be on 600mins, UL Texts, UL data BUT only 4GB tethering for £23 as opposed to £18 (rolling month) for my one plan, not happy I did a bit of research...

The 4GB tethering is the max you can get (and 1GB add on ) so max 5GB a month tethering.........

As my phone calls are quite low I went for the 200min calls and UL everything else for £15, I can manage on 4MB but there goes my netflix and nowtv ...........

Weird thing tho have been on the new tariff since the 22nd, and my tethering bit on my three has not budged, still on 4MB despite watching a half dozen films, so its either going to suddenly hit zero or maybe kick in next month when my one plan would of finished..............

Quick question for you tech guys , does using google play (streaming) on my phone to my chromecast count as tethering ????

If chromecast is on your home Internet wifi I believe no as just takes link plus some packet key key to show you rights to play. But if you set up a hot spot tether the chromecast to that network eg it's linked direct to phone and then control the chromecast via the phone or another tablet also tethered to phone will route through your phone so using your tethered allowance. That's my biggest concern.
I want to go to 3. Have unlimited music subscription play everything through plex BBC iplayer etc to chromecast. So think will burn through it. Same if used show box. But guess if used showbox or something similar BBC iplayer? To download to phone first then used all cast or local cast won't tether to chromecast. But what a pain and pushing people away from legally held content.

This does not exist. I just called them and this would cost £25 per month. For £15 you only get 200 minutes. I'm on a rolling contract since June 2014

Spannerzone sorry 2 disappoint u bud but I still hav unlimited teathering my friend;-))) hav been up & down the country all over the wkend and watching footy on my iPad thr & bak!!!!

& anybody else who said it was goin by the 5th of jan!!!! Il keep u informed if it goes off

Anything for new customers?
