Many thanks for this.

How does Deezer compare to Spotify?

I might switch as my 3 months from the Summer Promotion of Premium runs out next month.

Had the St Patricks day offer a while back, just did this and signed in with previous details and it worked a treat. Thank you. Heat.

Having used both I prefer Spotify for its interface, but only just!

The sound on Deezer seems better to me with its HQ setting and equaliser. Spotify still appear to have a better library but again only just (_;) I use both so this offer is a no-brainer - go for it!

I had Deezer included with my Orange phone plan, but I tried it once and then never bothered again.

They both have their own perks, Deezer has a sync function, so you can listen offline but it doesn't have as many tracks as spotify. There's no Metallica on Deezer so I had to sync my own to their server which took ages and they were missing a few albums from other areas but if you're into the latest stuff (I'm not) it should be good for you.

^^^ this, i use deezer only because i got it free with EE. i use Spotizr.com to transfer my playlists over from spotify, but sometimes deezer doesn't have the song and you get a karaoke version instead.

So I decided to make the jump, and use Spotizr to transfer them. I'm not sure whether it's just me, but it only managed to transfer 150 or so songs from my 600 track playlist. It wouldn't have been so bad if the adding songs to a playlist was simpler.

Yup. Now I'm just wondering whether I can put up with my Spotify being on shuffle on my phone and the adverts...

Deezers a great service ... good freebie if it works

Perfect timing, my current subscription ends next week.

Last time I cancelled it was through my account online with a couple of clicks. Then they offered another deal. It was easy to cancel. Also cancelled the PayPal auto-renew just to be on the safe side.

you can just go into your account and cancel the subscription I just did that. Heat added

It is simple to cancel via the Deezer website.

1. Log-in and select Settings | My Subscription and follow the links to manage and cancel
2. They will ask why you are cancelling and then ask you to re-enter your password to confirm.
3. You can still use the remaining part of your Deezer Premium but the automatic renewal will not occur.

Yes - the Deezer website will show the remaining amount of your Premium subscription left and when it will expire.

Awesome - thanks!

Thanks OP.

Signed up and cancelled at the same time so all seems absolutely fine. Great find as I wanted to try this in the car as they have it as one of the built in apps. My data use though may go through the roof which is what I want to check.

They have Pink Floyd as well so that will do me fine.

I'll look to try this out.

Cheers op.

:-)

When using Spotizr.com to import playlists from Spotify it's worth checking the failed imported tracks as, despite being marked as not available, often they are available when clicking-on the artist name and searching for track. I did this several times today and found the tracks I wanted then just deleted the 'unavailable' items.

Big pain of course if you have hundreds of missing tracks.

Heat added.

Even worked on my existing, but lapsed, account that has had promos on in the past

Thank you OP. I now have the code but will delay starting it until September 13th as I don't need it right now . This should be OK, shouldn't it?
