the question is will blockbuster still be around for 3 months?
Did this last time groupon was running the deal and blockbuster are so slow swapping discs over.

Can existing blockbuster customers use this?

Still added heat

Good offer but is this not … Good offer but is this not better?http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/blockbuster-4-months-unlimited-rentals-for-5-99-1647864

That doesnt include games
You are partially right, it doesn't include games by post but if you use store swap and return the disc instore then you can exchange for up to 5 nights game rental.

Forgive my noobness, but how does this work? I pay for this, and do I get sent a card to use in store for game swapping etc? Or can I use my existing membership with a code or something? I just worry the people who work in my Blockbuster won't know what's going on
Is this an auto-renewal contract or just a one off payment?
Benjammin. You sign up online they send you discs through the post but you can swap instore as well, ie take the discs back to a store you have membership with already or sign up in store, Blockbuster send back your old discs and you get new ones from the shop :-)
LukeCee ... It'll be renewal but just cancel online before the end of 3 month period, I've done it a few times. Is easy. Just note your phone to cancel.

Blockbuster used to be better though, I'd get games on release, you wait longer now, DVDs and blurays seem to take priority. My advice is have a small rental list :-)
I'd recommend the 5.99 for 4 months deal , noted above, only DVDs and blurays but good for 1.50 a month
Cracking deal - cheers !
Will this work on an old account?
Thank you, just signed up the other day. Will cancel and use this.
I just cancelled mine after a pathetic service, in 2 weeks I never got one disc even though they emailed to say it was sent. Then it magically vanished from my list as soon as I complained and trying to get hold of customer services was a complete nightmare
After the 3 months how easy would it be to cancel!?
How long do I get to rent a game or DVD for??
Excellent Deal. I already have this and never had any issues with blockbuster sending discs on time. Good Service,
don't do it! they only have 1 copy of each game, so u go weeks without getting anything
As far as I am concerned Blockbuster offer brilliant customer service. I signed for this deal last month. I have just watched Django Unchained and decided on a Tarantino retrospective so wanted Pulp Fiction on Blu-ray. Went to local store where very knowledgeable manageress told me it was available on Blu-ray but none in store. With this deal you can take any disc that 's not in Top Ten so took something else. Ordered Pulp Fiction online on BR next day and noticed next choice had already been dispatched. Clicked Top Ticket for Pulp Fiction to guarantee next disc to be sent.

Next day I got an email from Blockbuster saying they noticed I was keen go see Pulp Fiction as I had marked it as a Top Ticket item so they were sending it to me as a bonus item FOC. So I had 2 great movies to watch this weekend. That's how to gain and keep customers. Excellent service.
I signed up last year and they were very poor. I received a 3 months for £9.99 offer through my email in August and decided to give them another go. This time, completely different story. Disc turnaround is much quicker. I obviously don't always get my top choices, but I just received PES 2014, which I'm chuffed about. I haven't played a Konami football game since the ISS days, so this rental alone makes me feel like my money was well spent.
How long can you keep the games for??
Don't bother if you expect new games. I'm on the last 4 month groupon - was looking for something to replace lovefilm. Will probably try boomerang when time is up.

Nice one thanks!

For anyone else wondering.. I went into my local BB this morning and asked them about this, I have to get the first one delivered from online, then I can go in store and rent from then on. SO I just have to wait for the first one to arrive. Great deal
Just for a heads up, I got the last groupon deal in July for 4 months games and dvds for £9.99 and I've not had any games posted out (old and new) yet. I'm either unlucky or it's just a sh*t service that won't send games. I only took this out as lovefilm stopped the games. Hope this helps decisions as I really only used lovefilm for games.
the games service is shocking, rarely do you get good games sent out.
Would it be safe to assume that we'd be able to rent Xbox one games when they launch?

You never get the games anyway even if they are top of your list.

I got the same deal and have the same problems not getting games. I even once as a little experiment filled my list with 19 games and 1 Blu-Ray film at number 20. Guess what disc i got? Yes it was the Blu-Ray film which was the lowest thing on the list. I won't bother subscribing when the free period is up.

PES is rubbish again this year and the price is already dropping like a stone in the shops which says it all. Everyone plays Fifa but even that's rubbish this year so no surprise you got the PES disc.
Been with Blockbuster for 2 months and yet to have a game posted out that is not over 2 years old. They also take ages to swap discs and 2 have gone missing in the post.

Lovefilm was better but they no longer do games.

From the reviews I've seen, opinion is very much divided on PES. As long as it's decent and kills as few hours, that's fine by me. If it's naff, I'll get the Platinum trophy and move on. Regardless, it's still a new game and PES does seem to have quite a loyal fanbase, so I was surprise it receive it.

I really enjoyed the FIFA 14 demo. I have it pre-ordered for the PS4, so won't bother with the PS3 version. Really looking forward to it.
Thanks OP, decided to purchase the deal. For just over £2.50 a month for rental it seems like a bargain!
Blockbuster are good for films however the games side is poor. I’ve had games on my list for months without receiving any.

One thing to be very careful with blockbuster is your account can be completely managed online, changing your details and payment dates etc however you are unable to cancel your subscription online. The only way to cancel is to phone their customer service line which is a total nightmare. It took me over 2 weeks to cancel my subscription, too many phone calls to count and hours spent waiting on hold. I also tried cancelling by email however they just ignored it and continued charging my card.
Ditto with the games side of this - I had this the last time it was around - didn't receive one game!!!

Such a shame Lovefilm stopped doing games :(.
not all games/films are free to swap instore, some you have to pay for

agreed fifa14 is awful, fifa13 was brilliant, but ruined by cheats (especially the pc version)

FIFA 13 was worse than 12 though. But yeah, 14 isn't great.
Signed up a few hours ago and just noticed to cancel the rental service after the 3 months or whenever you have to ring customer services to cancel!! So you can sign up online but cannot cancel online!? What an utter joke Blockbuster more likely they will just try and convince you not to cancel and you will be put on hold for ages etc.
