Looks like it's about to be all booked up...

Just came back off this trip - if you're going for it, don't forget your sea legs!

Started with a 2 hour delay caused by rough weather on the prev trip, and we had rough weather both journeys to the extent that the outside decks were closed off at times, and entertainment was cancelled for the safety of the staff.

Captain could only use 3 of the 4 motors due the rough seas - still we made it to Bilbao on time, and only 45 mins late coming back.

Only 2 smoking areas on the boat - outside on deck 8.

Bar prices not exactly cheap - £3.10 for a pint of stella.

Cheapest meals about £8.99 for a main and dessert.

Most people were on it for cigs - cheaper ashore @ an average of euros 23 a carton.

Try and find parking away from the port, otherwise it's £10 a day and they will try to charge you the extra £10 even if you're 10 mins late - If this happens, speak to the car park attendant as we got our £10 back.

From our experience i won't recommend it, not at this time of year anyway, - book a cheap flight instead.

I went on this trip a year or so ago as a freebie (so cant really complain at the freebie bit) It was ok but to advertise as cruise is a little but above itself. Its more like a boat trip with poor entertainment over priced food smaller than normal beds but on a plus side if your looking for a few night at sea to get hammered it was great for that. I did win another freebie whilst on the ship in a competition but didnt take it.

just rang them up. all entertainment is included in the price and if you want breakfast and dinner on board its an extra £72pp for the duration and you get vouchers which you can use at any of the 'eating establishments' on board, as the lady stated.

seems pretty cool but I get a little sea nausea.

Did you get to sleep alright on board though?

Sleeping wasn't a problem actually.

We had a 2 berth inside cabin which we prefer (what you can't see can't worry you, as opposed to an outside cabin). The bunks were ok, they even had a mattress topper for extra comfort.

The cabins are small, but adequate - shower/toilet ok - similar to basic greek accommodation. Very little hanging space for clothes, have to live out of the suitcase.

I've been on a cruise before, and as previously mentioned, this trip is nothing like a proper cruise - it's 3 days away whereby you'll spend alot of money on the boat just to keep you entertained and help time pass away. Saying that, a travel kettle and pot noodles help keep the costs down ;-)

I forgot to mention, this was our 2nd time on this trip. We went previously about 3 years ago, but in the summer when we saw whales and dolphins - I think time of the year is key, but you never know - all you need is 3 days of calm weather.......we were less fortuate this time around.

sounds good
