Hey guys!

Just been looking at some travel deals and thought I would tell you all about what I have found. Gdansk is a city in Northern Poland which has a brand new airport so prices are cheap at the moment. There is a lovely small old town, and prices over there are stupidly cheap. When I went last year we had a 2 course meal with drinks for £8 (for 2 of us!). Other things to do in Gdansk are to visit Westerplatte which is where the first shots of World War 2 were fired starting the war. There is a neighboring seaside town called Sopot which is worth visiting too. Public transport over there is cheap, very cheap and very reliable. However Ubers are just as cheap!

So what have I found? Flights and hotel in Gdansk centre for £90pp based on 2 sharing. You can actually do this CHEAPER however I am showing you the hotel I stayed in which was very well located and we had no complaints whatsoever.

Flights - From Luton to Gdansk - Saturday 19th October - departs 20:55, arrives 00:05
Gdansk to Luton - Tuesday 22nd October - departs 19:50, arrives 21:10
book flights here through skyscanner
Not the greatest outbound flight however if you can afford £8pp more, there is a better outgoing flight with Ryanair at 08:40. This will also give you an extra full day there.
Earlier outgoing flight - Skyscanner

The hotel I have chosen is the hotel I stayed in when I went to Gdansk with my girlfiend. The hotel Bonum is £128 for 3 nights (£64pp). If you have 'genius' with Booking.com, then you may get it even cheaper. Hotel was very clean and modern. Location is opposite the old post office where there was a famous battle in WW2. Everything in Gdansk is within 15 minute walk. Area is completely safe and if you are into night clubs, there is actually an old war bunker behind the hotel which is now a nightclub!
The hotel can be booked through Booking.com here

There are plenty of other hotels available on these dates too, and many are actually cheaper than what I have suggested!

Gdansk highly recommended.

Agreed. First thoughts are admittedly negative - Lech Walesa and shipyards but it's actually a lovely city well worth a visit. Sopot is a short train ride away - really good to spend the day there. Polish really pleasant, friendly people and the place feels really safe. Reccommended.
If you fancy it, you can walk from Gdansk to Sopot along the beach.
Gdansk is a great place to visit
Really nice city.
I went to Gdańsk last year, such a beautiful city with plenty of history and a lot to see, I’d recommend going to anyone and I’ll definitely be going back at some point.

Down with this sort of thing
Malbork Castle is a must visit when there.
Looks like an interesting place to visit and a good price at that.

It certainly is. I forgot to mention that There is a world war 2 museum which opened a couple of years ago (2 min walk from the hotel) which is spectacular. They do audio tours in most languages and it really reminded me of the 9/11 museum in New York with the layout etc.
Recommend Craft Beer Hotel..ace place to stay! Mind the Plum Vodka!!
Great place. Lots of micro brewery pubs. About £1.0 - £1.50 pint. Recommend world war museum
