How do you fancy 3 nights in Istanbul and 6 nights in Dubai. Flying with Turkish Airlines you have luggage included and meals. There are many cheap flights sub £200 that have stops such as Wizzair or German Wings but you have to pay extra for luggage which makes them more expensive and no food or drink so for £211.56pp for Turkish Airlines these flights are a steal. Both hotels are in great locations and have good ratings.

On 25th January you will fly to Istanbul where you will stay at the amazing 5* Aprilis Hotel, just 5 minutes from the Blue Mosque and walking distance to the Grand Bazaar. You couldn't be better placed. You will stay here for 3 nights. It's easy to get to and from the airport with taxis really cheap.

on 28th January you will fly direct to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines again. I've picked a hotel that is in Al Barsha as the location is great, right near the mall and metro. You could save money by looking at hotels a little further out but I think this one in particular represents great value for money. The hotel includes complimentary shuttle to the beach. It has great reviews with comments about the favourable location. It also has a rooftop pool, gym, free WiFi and restaurants. You will stay here for 6 nights.

*Breakdown*

Flights with Turkish Airlines £211.56pp (£423.12) @ opodo.com

3 nights in Istanbul £96.83 @ hoteling.com

6 nights in Dubai £374.73 @ laterooms.com

Estimated return taxi cost in Dubai £12

Total per person £453.34

Which bit doesn't add up right? I've double checked it and seems OK.
Turkey = ISIS
I think Turkey will struggle now they have shown who's side they are really on. I travel, a lot in fact I've been to Turkey, I feel bad for the staff and good people there but I would not go on this trip if I was paid. If we let Turkey in the EU most of them will have fled by the date of this holiday. To the land of the free, oh wait I meant the land of free money, healthcare, housing, schooling! That place is a hot mess and I would not give it a penny more of my money.

Sorry Rachel I love your posts, but some areas are no goes to even the more adventurer type traveller! Most people would think I'm mad going to Columbia, I say rather than Turkey!
Things are certainly hotting up with these Middle Eastern deals. I wonder why they are so cheap?

ha ha ha....amazing.
Hot deal in my view, heat added.

Just because our enemy Russia uttered Turkey Oil buying from ISIS doesn't mean it's true and that the entire nation of Turkey is now enemy to the UK. Then one can imagine how the people in Afghanistan/Iraq feel when we said 45mins Saddam Nukes and tried but failed in finding the smoking gun and rained bombs day/night for years willy nilly.

I voted hot but I'm not a fan of Turkey.
where is ISIS getting its funding from then? someone is buying the oil and selling it on for profit? and also some bank is doing the transactions? which bank?

A lot of the Middle Eastern deals especially Dubai are between
10 June and 10 July (Ramadhan/fasting month)

Most malls, shops will close early. Weather will be unberably hot, Service standards lacking at best. Dubai during the hot months tends to come alive at night after sunset, but thing is if you've been fasting in the heat all day, sunset means breaking fast then off to prayer, then rest. it means most (but not all) places stay closed. I've been Dubai many a times but avoid this place during Ramadhan especially at all costs! Family and friends who live and work there simply tell me not to come during these months!
Also Dubai is not a cheap holiday, most folk will go once and that's that. Make it worthwhile and go when places and attractions are likely to be open. Dubai is mostly a shoppers paradise (not much in natural history like say Egypt), beaches a bit artificial. Most shops likely to be closed, pointless

Avoid Dubai at least during June and July

Turkey is an amazing country but just like the US it is inhabited by people you are best staying clear of. Here is video if lorries crossing from Syria to Turkey

Grow up. If you think that sh1t is not happening right now, your an idiot. Turkey is not our friend, they are happily funding terrorists, as well as allowing their borders to be a safe passage into the land of many Virgin seeking, brainwashed fools. You do remember the plane blown out of the sky recently, surely? All the lazy attitude in the airport security? Why would I give a penny to a country like that? Done Dubai many times, for time out, short flight and good weather in autumn and spring half terms.
I travel all over, due to my work, it has taken me to many places, at various states of devastation, I've taken 3 years out and travelled with my family. I'm not scared to go to places, I simply look at the bigger picture and make an informed choice, for me and my family. You keep believing the dream, I will keep living my life and we can all be content in our own little bubble.
Then vote cold. Simple!
