3 nights in Madrid for £108 each (£216 total) including flights and central hotel with code @ eBookers

This deal is based on 2 adults travelling to Madrid from Manchester on Sunday 22nd April returning Wednesday 25th April and staying in the 2* Room007 Chueca.

There are flights from London, Glasgow, Birmingham, Liverpool, Newcastle and Bristol all for under £50 around these dates if Manchester isn’t your local airport.

Madrid is a beautiful city and is completely underrated compared to Barcelona but personally i prefer it. There is plenty to see and do, the food is amazing and it’s not as £££ as the super touristy Barcelona.

You will be staying for 3 nights at the 2* Room007 Chueca which has an amazing 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor and raving reviews. The rooms have private bathrooms and it a boutique style, it is classed as a Hostel but with private bathrooms it’s far from the usual dormitory style hostel.

There are plenty of other hotels to choose from, plenty of cheaper options if you don’t mind sharing a bathroom. If you want a fancy hotel you will find yourself spending a fair bit more and the locations aren’t as good.

Getting from the airport to the hotel is very easy, the hotel has a metro stop just a few minutes walk away and you can catch the metro straight from the airport.

This deal only includes hand luggage however a 10kg bag should be sufficient for this trip.

Don’t forget most hotels have city tax to pay upon departure in major cities across Europe, this is usually only a few €€€ per night.

Price Breakdown

Flights booked through Ryanair - £93.96

Hotel booked through Ebookers using voucher code AFFVCCOUK02
- £122.04

Total price - £216

Total price each - £108

Lol horses for courses I guess. I don't see how you enjoyed Barcelona more, where you were attempted to be sold a selfie stick or a rug every 10 metres by some dodgy dude in a hoodie. And warning signs everywhere on the rambla warning you to guard your pockets.

Madrid on the other hand was much cheaper and marginally less touristy so great deal OP don't listen to the h8ers.

Madrid is my favourite city in the world.

Personal comment.

I have also visited the majority of cities in Spain, and although I loved Barcelona, Valencia, Bilbao and Seville; Madrid was by far my favourite (and I have returned on numerous occasions).

Just out of curiosity then, would you say London is a dump?

Of course London is a dump. Councils can't get their act together. And now they are raising council taxes due to rising costs instead of finding more cost-effective ways of doing things.

I said it was personal opinion. Madrid was dirty, full of litter in comparison to all other cities.

Yes I was hounded (not very often I hasten to add) but I also saw them in Madrid. Finally, I kept my back pockets empty and we held tightly to bags so we didn't have to worry about pickpockets but that's common sense, not restricted to Barcelona, so we do that everywhere, even in the UK.

Lived in Madrid for 3 years, while the comments regarding pickpockets, litter and immediate beauty are all valid if you emerge yourself in the culture and people then it's definitely among the best in the world. I certainly prefer it over London and there are so many fantastic places to visit within an hour of the city well worth spending a couple of weeks in the area. I will definitely be back

I found it lovely hardly seen any litter compared to home. Loads of parks and would love to return

Or Paris, literally the biggest craphole in the west. Never seen so many rats in my entire life.
I love Madrid, only negative was the frequent waft of raw sewage but I'm willing to overlook that. The architecture is stunning, thoroughly enjoyed the open top bus tour, great food, great service, loads to see and do

If only comment posts had labels...
After Saturday night yes..loads of rubbish on Grand Via but tidied just like any other city,Madrid is great, food, nightlife, people.
Go!
Heat OP.Tip..try Prakitk Metropol on Grand Via,few quid more but right in it.
Love Madrid!!! Would say its more 'traditional' than Barcelona, which had a more modern feel for me. Cheap eats and drinks by capital city standards. Try - Mercado San Miguel.

I think Marrakech gets a pass on that front.
Probably the worst big city I have visited. Not a lot going for it.

People asking what the time is (to see what kind of watch/phone you have)
Welcome to Hot UK Trip Advisor
I loved Madrid, one of my favourite city breaks! Plenty to see and do.
Same, loved Madrid where tapas are actually priced as 'bitesize' items unlike Barcelona where you pay almost as much as a cheap main.
Who else can point me to a place where you can get a plate FULL of tapas + pint of beer for 2.50E

Marrakech is awesome. Great markets, cafes, kebabs and climate. Really cheap too.

Lesson: Don't trust comments on internet forums. Go and see for yourself.
Lived there for 2 years and loved it and recently went back to visit friends. Divides opinion with some but I think like most trips it’s best to do some research before hand. ake sure you’re going to the right neighbourhoods, as some are quite distinct, you’ll have a great time!
Most of you need to rip up your passports as nowhere in the world is as good as where you are living in the UK it seems. Jeez!! 😗

Yes great hotel with a rooftop viewing area. Cheapish too for a capital city....
I love Madrid. Nice food, friendly locals, easy to get out of the tourist spots, done great culture. The Prado art gallery is amazing, one of the best in the world. They have "The Garden of Earthly Delights" - what more can I say? Reina Sofia is also great for more modern art - "Guernica" is an experience.

Have lived in Spain and last year did Donostia to Bilbao to Barca to Valencia to Madrid to home. I cannot even imagine how any one can call Madrid a dump. Fabulous city with amazing food and 3 museums that are world class, and that's just for starters. Parts of Valencia are rather industrial and a bit naff, but Madrid is classy.

I found the Prado to be 'too good'. The depth and breadth of the collection is beyond even places like the Uffizi. To be honest it made my head hurt - I was 'arted out' after a couple of hours. It needs several days to take it all in properly. Amazing city. Brilliant metro too.

You will that people who call places ‘ a dump’, usually have never visited the place. 🤨
