Think you might need to check the temp in your fridge if you got mould on beans in 2 days. I'm terrible for just putting beans in a bowl in the fridge with no lid or cover (I know I shouldn't) and theres never any mould even after several days in there...

I put the opened tin of beans in the fridge for over a week and there is no mould so what does this mean do I still need to check the temperature

If it’s not the temperature of your fridge it’s something else causing it. First thing is these are a bit too large for baked beans imo half a tin is 200g that’s over 85% larger than you need. Using an incorrectly sized container is not the best practice. Secondly, a lot of people buy things like this and do not wash them before using them. This is a mistake. If it’s not the temperature, size of the container, or cleanliness of your storage procedure and you only get 2 days I don’t know what it is.

I always wash before use and there is 4 tins of baked beans in a pack so I filled it up and used as much that can fit and my fridge is good as new. Sometimes it's the containers that are being sold as can be kept in fridge but do not all give best results. Just saying
Sistema are great, and a New Zealand make, so happy to buy, but everyone else have caught up. The Lidl and Aldi makes are excellent too, now I prefer the click down locking types anyways

Yeah 4 tins would fill it up. I can’t personally think of a reason that I’d open 4 tins at the same time though. They already come in a fairly robust storage container

I’d be shocked if it was the type of plastic used in the container causing mold within 2 days. 2 days is a really short amount of time to store something like baked beans in a fridge. I’ll do a bit of research though and see if I can find anything.
Ordered. Thank you.
